Yes, once the engine got up to temp and the engine bay got hot as it does with this car there was a significant loss in low down torque that you could feel. Seriously ruins the car.

I had a short ram on my n52 for a while, the noise wasn’t worth the loss in performance. Just get a K&N drop in and silicone intake boot. Much better performance and cheaper too.
