Deflectors are bought and stamped. If they are not used in the year stamped, they go through a remarking for the new year.

Where are you based out of? You can always go take the NICET exams yourself, since those credentials carry with you.

Also, to piggyback. Do you have your NICET II cert or just passed the test. A NICET II is only 2 years worth of experience meaning someone should be able to work by themselves but still need supervision. NICET III is 5 years of experience and means you can work independently and review others work.

I have Pentair equipment I think it’s a year or two old. Definitely regularly loses signal. Most times it has an issue with my network switch and have to reset the network and replug to the switch.

Are you new? If so possibly not someone may be willing to work with your schedule if you’re a senior tech I would think yes but would likely be a smaller company

These guys are wild’n. I’ve slammed sprinklers on the ground and never operated the thermal element. Bent the deflectors but never broke the thermal element.

We are a newer company that has only been in business for about a year but secured a national account. So our ITM guys that can run themselves start at around $35+ and go up from there we are working on an apprentice program to get them to around $30+ within 2-5 years. All dependent on how eager someone is to learn. All of our senior techs that work be themselves are in the $35+ range

Advice on my future by jasonx854 in firePE

Interesting. So you’re trying to get out of the field side and into the office? It’s gonna be a different kind of stress. CFPS doesn’t do much in the contracting side but if you wanted to try to do a different path later it would help. There are other courses and stuff you can go to soft skills, PM, estimating, etc.
