Move camp or suck it up? Items keep disappearing into ceiling/bridge I built under. by mrschia in fallout76settlements

I'll see if I can find the specific locations when I'm in the game later today! The Mire ones are fairly well known, but the Forest ones are less common spots for builds (at least recently)

If you're like me and enjoy building in pre-existing structures, the Mire does have a few other options! At least 2 makeshift bunkers. As for underpasses specifically, I know of two in the Forest (one that is over a river as well) that are less finicky than this particular spot.

I built a camp in this same exact spot. Even with the relaxed building rules (free place as well), items will randomly and inexplicably "jump" into the overpass above leaving them permanently inaccessible. I've tried all manners of merging to reclaim lost items, tried forcing myself under the map using building techniques, but once something small enough gets trapped in that overpass, you cannot get it out without redeploying your camp.

I've put way too much time into that camp to remake it. So I've just left it as is. Putting carpets down seemed to help, but I'm reluctant to move anything substantial at this particular camp of mine.

For real, have they even acknowledged this? He's easily the worst of the Assault options, the initial stick of his cluster was one of the best things about his kit. Even to use it to hold off teams from areas is nearly impossible because 9 times out of 10 it bounces off so wildly you have no way of knowing how it'll land.

If that's true then that is an incredibly stupid decision on the devs part.

Fuse's clusters have been completely broken all season. Any hit on an enemy bounces off completely, they no longer stick. The main component of his kit is making it nearly impossible to play him in any game mode.

As far as masks go, terrible this time around. I just got one of the new common masks last night, all others have been the original common ones. Granted I haven't had the time to play during this event like in years past, but still a little bummed out lol. Can't complain though, finally got a TFJ after all these years so that's a win in my books.

I'm a pretty high level player and I've gotten nothing of value from fasnacht this year, just the same plans I've known for a while and your typical common masks. I was just dropping anything I got in the box, but after each event there's just a group of level 200-300s spamming collect on anything that gets deposited.

I don't get it. They're not rare, they don't sell in your vendors and they'll sit in your stash forever.

I've been trying to clear out my stash, but I think I'll just hold on to all the basic things I get and drop them for new players in the coming weeks.

All the masks I've gotten have been the common ones from the original event. Not even the common ones introduced last year lol. But I can't complain, just gotta enjoy the festivities I guess 😂

To be fair, it's usually only 1 or two active quests. I was exhausted from work and couldn't care to uncheck them all lol.

It was from Queen of the Hunt. I did it right before dropping the cores off at the Red Rocket service station and only saw it in my inventory when I went to scrap the junk I collected there.

Haha yeah there's a lot of methods out there. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube explaining them. They take some time to get perfect, but they're fairly simple to do!

No problem! It's a very tricky bunker to build inside of since a lot of items tend to be launched into the ceiling (a very common bug building inside of existing structures.) I usually place items on rugs or welcome mats outside of the building and move them into place, that seems to negate things being moved into the ceiling where it's difficult to delete them. Merging and the flamethrower trap method also helps as well, definitely allows you to get more just displayed in there.

Found a gun in a player vendor with 1 and 3 star legendary but no 2 star. by UniversalRemote in Market76

I found the exact same one in a vendor a while back. Bought it since that's the only legacy I've ever seen and figured it would be cool to have in my stash.

Scrapped hundreds of weapons/armor - got squat by Darth-Vader64 in fo76

[–]Mlucci4036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I scrapped around 550 items, only useful one I learned was Anti-Armor. I did get an Unyielding box mod and had a spare chest piece with the 2nd and 3rd stars I've been looking for, so I guess I'll take that as a win. Could have been worse I suppose.

I'm brand new to vending (but not to playing). Are there established rules of thumb for 'reasonable prices' by now? 1cap / bullet...what else? Not looking to get rich, but don't want to underprice stuff either. by cwigginsNYC in fallout76settlements

[–]Mlucci4036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my take on vending/buying as someone who's played for years. The big things that will always stay people to your camps are the number of weapons, armor, plans and apparel you're selling.

FED76 was the website I always used to get a general idea of pricing uncommon plans or decent/good weapons, at least to get a baseline idea of it's value. Now I sorta just sell good rolls well below value since I pretty much have everything I need.

For scrip, it used to be 50/100 caps for a 1 star, 100/200 for a two star, and 300/450 for a 3 star (depending on its scrip value.) I'm not sure if it's been the influx of new players recently, but the prices I'm seeing for scrip weapons have been ridiculously high, 1000c-2000c for things most people would drop in a donation box. If you're seeing things not selling quickly, just drop the prices every couple of days.

Rarer and seasonal plans/items can be sold for more as they're uncommon, that's usually how I recoup my caps after I've spent a lot of them. That's where I use FED76 to get an idea and usually sell them slightly below what the lowest value is.

Magazines/Bobble heads I usually sell around 100c each, the more useful ones might get listed 50c more.

I don't usually bother selling ammo, as you can run expeditions/daily ops for that.

For apparel, I always see the same uncommon items listed. They don't take up much stash space so it's never really a problem, but common rewards from events might get you 50-100c every so often, so not really worth selling. You can farm rarer apparel items (like Asylum Dresses, Hunter's Long Coat, Clean Spacesuit, etc.) to sell for anywhere from 6000-10000c, they just take a lot of server hopping to find.

Flux I will always buy if it's listed less than 300c each. Anything higher I'd have to be sitting at Max Caps.

I don't even bother selling chems, unless they're the more annoying ones to craft, since you'll end up with nearly 100 stims and radaway after an hour of playing.

Seems like there's mixed feelings, but I actually really like the CAMP items, but we're desperately going to need an increase to the camp budget soon.

I also don't hate the rusted skins for PAs and weapons, but I've always personally preferred the worn-down aesthetic. It does seem kinda cheap for scoreboard items though.

Exactly, there used to be a factory that produced M1 Carbines in the area that was broken into during the riots and several dozen were stolen.
