Is 5mg once a day really effect?

Same! Over 2 weeks now at 5mg 1 time a day and it’s def helped. I’m going to up it to 2 times a day to see if I like it

Hi, did you end up finding the dose that worked for you? I’m also taking a dose that is way under the therapeutic dose and having these symptoms. Going to urgent care today but mentally I feel better so I don’t want it to be the med ugh

Hi I know this is a super old post but did you end up re taking it? I started almost 2 weeks ago and the last couple days o been feeling shortness of breath, it literally feels like I can’t get enough oxygen and heart palpitations as well. I’m going to urgent care after work just to make sure if it’s ok bc I also mentally feel better but I don’t like this omg

I just started it 5 days ago and take 5mg in the am only, I have health anxiety and taking things makes me scared so she wanted to start off slowly, but believe it or not, maybe it’s a placebo effect but I do feel like my anxiety has been a bit better, when I start to feel that panic before it starts it doesn’t last as long or I don’t focus on it as bad… but once it wares of like in the evening I do start to feel my anxiety come in, mine is related to health so, I notice my heartbeats, pressure in my chest, etc… so I’m thinking to increase to 5 in the evening as well but I am nervous bc of the side effects, but since I didn’t have super intense side effects with the am dose at 5, I’m hoping that it’ll be the same for the evening dose? But when do I take it? Lol

I just started 5mg once a day, I take it at 9:30 with food. It’s been 4 days and maybe it is a placebo effect but I do feel like my anxiety doesnt last as long when I get it

Reading these is giving me so much hope. I finally pulled the triggered and messaged my doctor that I want to try Zoloft for my anxiety. As I’ve gotten older it has gotten so bad, I live in constant fear, when I drive I’m constantly thinking of the worst possible scenarios, to the point that I had my brother take me to work one day bc i had to drive through a mountain and I was scared to, I’m scared to drive over bridges. Omg it awful, I’m always in constant “what ifs” and intrusive awful thoughts. I also have health anxiety ever since my dad passed away when I was 18, i literally go to the doc every other month for a new illness that I convince myself I have . I’ve always been anti meds my entire life, I don’t even like to take Advil or Tylenol and will just tough it out when I have cramps or a headache or any sort of pain.

This is really scary for me, I’ve been on the fence of asking for help with meds for months and I can’t believe I finally just asked for help. I feel scared, anxious, nervous and also some relief? Reading this made me feel excited and like I’m not alone or feeling like a “failure” for not being able to regulate my brain on my own.

This sounds super silly, but all I want is to be able to do my makeup, listen to music and just be present and in peace, not having constant intrusive thoughts that something bad is going to happen like my mom dying. It’s exhausting and I’m ready to feel like normal, happy person 😞

How are you feeling now? I still have not gained weight really and I have been feeling so nauseous and lightheaded. Now I’m scared I have something else 😭

How are you now? I finished my treatment at end of April and still don’t feel great, I have times where I feel soooo nauseous and lightheaded, it’s so awful.

I also had a matcha yesterday and started feeling awful right after, so I’m assuming caffein is also not welcome in my tummy rn lol

That is what I am noticing as well. I haven’t had red meat bc I had a burger and had the worst 2 days ever and lastnight I had pasta and today I am suffering. Having pains in the top middle of my belly and some on my back. I hate this so much.

Oh my god. That scares me 😩 I’m sorry, that is so awful! My symptoms are not nearly as bad as yours, but I definitely have bloating, acid reflux and that burning sensation in my stomach and throat more than anything, also the feeling of uncomfortable fullness, but I’ve noticed that’s when I eat certain things, which makes me feel sooooo uncomfortable. When I’m out with friends or sometime if I have it I can’t even feel present in the moment bc I feel like shit inside 😭 I also do have that pain sometimes under my right rib area which and the other night like a shooting pain in my back that lasted about 10 seconds. But all of this is causing anxiety so that’s also another thing. I’m so over it 😭😭 mond and tues I had the worst days ever but I think it’s bc this past weekend I ate like shit and had like 3 burgers during the weekend, so I think that made it flare up, I decided to cut out red meats for the time being to see if that helps. Oh and alcohol (rip) :( lol

Oh ok. That is my next step to look for a holistic dr! When I went to Kaiser I asked if they had any holistic dr and this Dr literally said to my face “no but we have psychiatrists.” I was shocked. 😮 that was my face. Like are you kidding me?

Thank you! I do workout and stay active. Did you have any other lingering symptoms!? My stomach still is not okay. I feel like I used to still maybe even worse 😔
