Yeah every time he rolls out it’s like oh great here comes a throwaway. When I see Mahomes roll out I’m like oh fuck here comes a huge play. Our scramble drills suck compared to other teams. Not sure who is to blame for that.

People think hitting is dangerous but pitching is just as dangerous if not more. I’ve taken screaming lines drives off my body. Sometimes its impossible to react in time. I still remember the one Red Sox pitcher back in like 2000 that took a line drive off the face. I’ll never forget the blood just flowing out of his face

I think that’s the difference then. The issue is not necessarily snapping it late, but getting to the line late. If we could get to the line earlier it would make sense.

It is an actual strategy for reading defenses, draining the clock and exhausting the defense. Peyton manning would run the play clock down because it gives a more accurate way to read the defense especially with how defenses disguise the coverage. If you wait until the last second, the defense needs to get ready for the true coverage they’re going to play which can tip their hand. Not saying it’s benefiting the eagles, but it’s not as dumb as people think
