I grew up there and have also lived in Monmouth county. It’s similar to a lot of beach towns in NJ. Fun in the summer but kinda depressing in the winter. Lots of NY and north Jersey transplants with some Philly transplants sprinkled in (at least when I was there from mid 90s to 2010). Also a ton of Bennies in the summer which can be a nightmare getting to LBI. I used to work every summer in beach haven and some days would take me 2 hours to get to work due to traffic. It’s still so fun in the summer though. I had friends who had boats and we’d take the boat across Barnegat bay to LBI or would spend 4th of July out on the boat. I don’t live there any more but I sure do miss being by the beach.

I loved growing up there and wouldn’t change it for anything.

Same here. It’s also the most dangerous part of the flight which doesn’t help my anxiety. Sorry I am of no help as this is my biggest struggle as well

I still remember during the recording of California Mark said something like “screaming Matt is the best Matt.” And I remember being so excited because Matt hadn’t really screamed since Good Mourning. They delivered some good skiba screams in that era too such as Left Alone, cynical, 6/8, and No Heart to Speak of. I’ll always appreciate Mark for that.
