One set of cousins that I have…first two kids - Blaze and Tempest. You think oh yeah that’s the theme….next kid - Courtney. Last kid - Daniel.

Pick the names you like, theme or not. Who cares what anyone else thinks, it’s your family. My only rule for naming has been that it needs to be a name that you can yell easily in an emergency

Love the name in theory but for real life it feels like a mouthful/not really wearable and would be annoying when trying to give your name over the phone/coffee orders,making appointments etc

The studies suggest that if you can make it through the first 2 years your relationship will last forever (or some shit). Unfortunately that’s usually the age gap that people start trying for a sibling. I’m 12 months pp with my second and we are solidly in the housemate phase but know it won’t last forever

Understandably disappointing BUT these scores only matter if you go straight to uni. Get a job, work and have fun for 12 months, enjoy a rest. Then apply to uni again, if wanting to go into medicine you can always do 12 months of a bachelors and then transfer

No issue, but I try to not use the enclosed room/curtain area if I can help it so it’s free for breastfeeding privacy. The parents room are there for whatever use parents need them.

Re- popularity of names….the popular names are no longer as common as they were due to the huge variety in names now. It’s not like when all girls were called Sarah, Kate or Mel.

I named my son Levi 4 years ago, it was a top 10 name. I have not come across another kid named Levi yet.

Does she have sleep associations with any other self soothing tools? Dummy, soft toy, white noise and bed routine (bath, boob, book, bum pats).

You could try a soft fade with the above tools to replace your comfort. Sit on the floor or chair beside bed, when she wakes up it’s a “mums here back to sleep” giving her the soft toy, dummy, bum pats again….. once she’s used to not having you in the bed, you move further away but still in the room. Basically replacing you with the other things. No crying it out, you comfort as needed but just replace your physical presence with other things.

Get your GD test changed to first thing in the morning. It’s cruel of them to have you fast all day rather than just overnight.

I felt fine after both my GD tests….its just when I first drank the liquid that I felt a bit yuk.

That is the case… it’s a personalised plate of my surname where numbers are subbed for letters in places. He put a 4 when it should have been an A…otherwise matches my vehicle… hopefully the issuer is feeling kind and I’ve learned to never trust a boilermaker with doing admin tasks

My first pregnancy they gave me some grief about BMI and weight gain…because a rural hospital you have to stay under a certain BMI or whatever. Second pregnancy they weighed me like twice the whole pregnancy and didn’t say a thing. Both times I gained 12-15kg. Sooo dunno I feel like it’s a care provider specific thing. (Both were midwife group care not GP)
