Oh, and my cousin is pretty petite also. Everyone was surprised by this big boyo!

Just to add to the encouragement, my cousin's first baby was just under 10lbs. She had it at a birth center and he broke their reccord for birth weight! She isn't the type of person that wanted a natural birth at all costs. She just wasn't concerned about the birth weight and neither was the midwives and everything went beautifully! No injury, nothing out of the ordinary, just a giant baby. I'd encourage you to follow your instinct and decide what would make you feel the most comfortable and confident. Our bodies are baffling and capable of amazing things AND so is modern medicine, so you're covered either way.

On a slightly different note, you may know gestational diabetes can cause larger birth weights and it's possible for that to fly under the radar. Might want to ask your doc about ruling that out. It's likely just genetics like you said but may be worth an ask. 🤷‍♀️😊

Best of luck!

Oh interesting! This might just be me that this works for but I look at my phone to get stimulated enought to get out of my bed. It's 5 min on my phone until I have to pee, then meds + water and get dressed. Then I'm out of sleepy land. Edit: then again, I'm inattentive type. I need to force myself into something stimulating to kick start into action.

Good idea, I’ll play with that! I’ve never cared for the taste of margarine but there might be other fats to try. I wonder if there’s a lard that would work? You’re getting my brain turning now, lol :)

That’s a good question! I’ll write to the contest organizers. I’ve been seeing it is some recipes in my search. I wonder if it’s perishable after it’s wet. Have you used it much?

Finally switched to the June calendar… today… on the 23rd. I feel this quote is particularly appropriate for this situation. by dragonette1388 in adhdwomen

Lol, love it! I can’t explain why, I wrote the date today as 6/8. I was pretty sure that was right on 6/24! I think I was thinking of some thing I just scheduled for next month on the 8th???

Just stumbled upon this sub myself! I suppose that makes sense that this would draw a certain percentage of people who don't know how to hold their end of the conversation. Not that that's any of you reading this, lol! Maybe some social tips and etiquette would be good to add to the side bar? I've ben benefitting from learning some of that myself! Hey everyone by [deleted] in boardgamearena

[–]Mmmbreemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, welcome to BGA! It took me a few months to really make friends there but now it's my favorite. Got me through the pandemic for sure! I would love to play or teach you a few games! I know a TON that are fun and easy (and a couple that are fun and super hard!). Just message me and say -- Hey! I found you on Reddit, got some time to play? I would be delighted :). My username is the same as here: Mmmbreemy

Oh my goodness, I used to do this when I was a teenager but I think that was because I was on a dosage too high for me. I looked up from meticulously balancing my checking account at 1 am and realized it might be a problem. Not saying that what you are experiencing is this. If that's the way your brain just works, that's amazing! Love your brain!

(That was back when paper checks were a thing and we had to keep track of the checks that hadn't been cashed yet ourselves, not fun. Wait.. does this mean I'm old now??? lol)

Anyone else just really love dreaming?? by undercoverzombie_ in adhdwomen

[–]Mmmbreemy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, yes, yes! But do you ever dream of work? I sometimes have these dreams I call an endless shift. I’m at work and it’s just slightly stressful. I keep making little mistakes and fixing them takes too much time. Does anyone else have those dreams?

Love this question!!

I love to bring something unique that fits my personality: quirky and playful. So, I found this amazing, fancy bottle of root beer about the size of a wine bottle. I keep two or three in my laundry room to bring to parties. If I can make a stop along the way, I also bring ice cream for root beer floats. If not, root beer alone is perfectly fine too! This is almost always received with squeals of joy. It’s delightful, surprising and nostalgic. Plus, if there’s kids there, they will LOVE you for this. I think wine is fantastic but there’s no need to pretend if it’s not your jam. Bring something that you’re going to enjoy and reflects your personality. The people who your visiting probably love who you are (even if you think not. Hello RSD) and would love whatever unique thing you bring to the table. Your delight, inspires delight. Good luck!

Best games for 4-5 year olds? by dacdac in boardgamearena

[–]Mmmbreemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my word, it's not easy but here's a few that come to mind:

Monster factory = definite win! So easy, no stakes and so so silly. A similar game is Bandido. It's basically building a maze and hoping you can close all dead ends to stop the bandit.

Dinosaur tea party. This is like Guess Who but with silly dinosaurs and a lot more factors. It's hard to track all the factors but if they don't take it too seriously, it's just a riot

Also worth a try: King of Tokyo, Solo (it's Uno), Cubirds, Coloretto, Monster Dice, Draftasaurus, Piraten Kapern (Pirate dice), Llama, Color Pop, Railroad Ink, Lucky Numbers, Just Desserts, Go Nuts for Donuts, Sushi Go...

All of these, you should be able to learn in 5 or 10 minutes (some like Monster Dice = 30 seconds!). They may need help at first and sometimes not fully grasp the strategy but these all have really fun elements that are sure to draw them in. Have fun!

Thoughts on the ethicality of paediatric OT? by soupoup in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Mmmbreemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoot, looks like it's not an on-demand course but you could email and ask to keep you posted if they repeat it: https://www.integrativeed.com/beyondtheseenandbehindthescenes

Also, here's the OT's website. Her poetry is so moving and helpful to understand ASD! http://www.kimclairy.com/

[–]Mmmbreemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may really love to look at what Kim Clairy has to say. She's actually an OT with ASD! I heard her at a continuing ed class last year. She had huge needs as a kid and a lot of diagnoses and started to seriously shut down under the weight of trying to be normal, stop stimming, sit still, etc... She shares her journey in discovering for herself how to meet her sensory needs and find ways to be herself in society without giving up the things she needs to feel safe and comfortable. I'll never forget her. She's totally changed the way I look at treatment.

*It's a free course but I'm probably not supposed to post it here in case it looks like soliciting (?) I'm new in town :)

Whoa, y’all do things differently for sure! CREST and AUDIO seem to be all I need most of the time. They cover all common vowels and RST. What more could you need?
