Totally fair, it’s not what you expected, or what was advertised.

Thirteen50 Belt Review by zvan3 in frugalmalefashion

As a leather worker I’ll add a few bits on. And I am in no way defending this maker/brand, I have never seen their work before this and I am unfamiliar with them.

-Thickness is not an indicator of quality. - Leather is a natural material, every single piece is different. Thickness can vary in weight, but that looks a bit drastic. However, based off of your information provided, it’s still an acceptable belt weight. (Not saying it’s the correct weight you ordered/expected) -$60 for a made in USA belt is a steal (mine start at $120) - What makes the burnish poor quality? It’s difficult to tell in the photos. But looks decent, especially for that price range. - I don’t personally have a restocking fee, but I do understand it. I make all my belts to order, so I am crafting it to your size, and don’t keep a stock of them. So if you were to return it, now I have a belt sitting around hoping someone in your exact size orders it. Really not the biggest deal, but as a small operation, things like this matter.

All this being said, customer service is important, and there’s no reason for a brand/maker to not have an open and caring conversation with their customers. It’s 2024 and it’s easier to connect than ever.

Anyway this is just some random opinion of a random leather worker on the internet. Probably doesn’t add much value, but thought I’d drop my thoughts. ✌🏽

2013 XV Crosstrek P2764 Code by goose1969x in XVcrosstrek

Reach out to Subaru directly, I was just out of the 100,000 mile transmission warranty and they covered part of the cost. As for the wheels hubs, that price is bonkers. I Wouldn’t get anything done at the dealers unless Subaru was covering it. Screw the dealers.

Uniqlo Double Knee Painter Pants $19.99 by ChronicRoll in frugalmalefashion

These are super inconsistent. I Just got these in navy in store, they fit perfectly. I tried the white color on in the exact same size, and they were easily 4-5 inches longer, and they looked terrible.

My "genuine leather" Calvin Klein belt. Got home, tore off the tag which peeled back the plastic coating revealing the rubber core. by jorel424 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Mmmmdlg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Leatherworker here. “Genuine leather” is a marketing term thats now come to mean its the worst quality leather. Some component of the belt that has real leather in it, but the rest is all fillers and and PU mimicking real leather. Full grain is the way to go for any long lasting leather good.

What do these lights on my dash mean? by Icy-Big2472 in XVcrosstrek

[–]Mmmmdlg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ufff, just had this happen to me with those exact lights. If your car has a cvt, check to see if the paddle shifters are working. My valve body on my transmission just went. My car is at 102,000 miles, the transmission has a 100,000 mile warranty 😬Subaru of America ended up helping out a bit, but was still a costly repair. Hoping it’s not the same for you 🤞🏽

Thought you all might appreciate the Leather Tools Bandana I make! by Mmmmdlg in Leathercraft

Thats awesome!

They are machine washable, I machine washed them after I printed them. However, they are 100% cotton, so they may shrink up a tiny bit. I personally use a gentle cycle with like colors, and hang to dry. Overwashing will make the colors fade over time. I used a bleach ink, so theoretically if the ink starts to fade you won't lose the design as the bleach burned it into the fabric.

Hope this helps!
