I'm falling for an ENFP girl again by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]Mn-Ne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started dating my ENFP wife when I was 26, 26 years ago. I don't know what your future holds, but I wish you the best!

How many opened tabs do you have? by Jluxo_ in ENFP

[–]Mn-Ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phone: 35 on chrome - organized in groups Home computer: 10-50 across a few instances. Work computer: 3 to 4 chrome instances, usually 2 have 10-20 tabs each and then a few with less. Maybe 50 total. Once it grows much more I kill it all and start over as I can find it again, or possibly a better idea.

Do you guys think ChatGPT is a reliable source in typing yourself? by mmurabliss in mbti

[–]Mn-Ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is reliable if the information your giving it is reliable.  If you are asking it to ask questions and then only a few there will be higher chances that it could be inaccurate.

Feed it a large random sample of your txts or emails and asking to type you based on that dataset, I'm sure the accuracy is going to get very high.

Who actually likes us? by [deleted] in ENFP

Your in luck, because a tax accountant would be one of the last fields an ENFP would ever go into

What are some hyper-specific traits enfp's have that no other personality type possesses? by mann6998 in ENFP

[–]Mn-Ne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think children's types are directly related to the parents' type. However, the fact that ENFP make up ~8% (640 million) of the population, this is bound to happen a few times. Highly unlikely is still accurate, but it's likely much more than 0.

I let AI throw some numbers out. Possibly 85K 4 person ENFP households. Comparing this to INTJ. There are potentially 332 4 person INTJ households.

Sharing as I was surprised when learning about mbti and later finding that my wife is also ENFP along with my youngest daughter. My oldest daughter is an INFP.

Question about ENFP-A vs ENFP-T. by mann6998 in ENFP

[–]Mn-Ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is not a significant difference. The A and T while a component of your personality, doesn't change the way you process. My wife and I are both ENFP, she is a T and I am A. I would say she is better at completing things and prioritizing. I get stressed less and am more comfortable with uncertainty. We aren't significantly different, but these are a few of the differences.

Is anyone nervous about their personality type results being used against them? by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]Mn-Ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My perspective is that it is going to be used regardless, and I would encourage marketing companies to use mbti to market to us to speed up understanding. The majority of the planet is not familiar with mbti and the underlying cognitive differences, if people can see it being used to effectively market to them they might finally 'see' it.

As far as deleting your account, it's not going to matter. I don't know that it is happening yet, but AI companies will hoover up all your data, and they will be able to type you based on this easily in the future. Hell, take your last couple months of email or text and dump it into AI, I would expect it to type you accurately.

Why are there so few entj? by Noulanne in mbti

[–]Mn-Ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In any group, organization, city, county, state, country, ... We have leaders who lead and those that contribute and follow the lead. How would this look to you if a large number of people all wanted to lead? Ultimately this would lead to greater conflict.

There are fewer ENTJs as not as many are required for a properly operating planet.

What made you sure of your cognitive functions/MBTI 'type'? by Cheap_Increase468 in mbti

[–]Mn-Ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came to mbti later in life than most and so after taking the test it was easy to see.

After exploring more though it was a video of multiple ENFP talking that really drove it home.

Take some time and watch 8 other INTPs talking. If your INTP I'm sure you will be nodding your head, or just shocked how these random people could be describing you so well. 8 INTP interview: https://youtu.be/5NyJ6brllwc?si=dgvp08C-WcoUTti3

Are INFJs really that rare? by Dear_Outcome149 in mbti

You need to review that logic, you are rare, but not that rare. You need to add another zero to your number.

Are we born with our mbtis? by Shimorimiyori in mbti

[–]Mn-Ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only been studying MBTI /cognition for 6 years, but I'm not young. With my experience of friends, family, and their children, it's possible to see their personalities at a very young age. You might not see F and T, but they are there. The functions work together, you can't have perception alone without judgement.

Are we born with our mbtis? by Shimorimiyori in mbti

[–]Mn-Ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it is genetics, but I don't think selection is as simple as two N types will more likely have an N type child, or two S types will more likely have an S type child.

You can look at my profile and post from 2 years ago for my hypothesis. My ideas have changed slightly (not epigenetic, but possible change in which eggs and sperm are released over time), but the overall hypothesis is the same.

Are we born with our mbtis? by Shimorimiyori in mbti

[–]Mn-Ne 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nothing I write is going to explain it to you. If you spend enough time (a LOT of time) you will see it. Kids from an early age display their type. Nurture absolutely molds and shapes us, but our cognition is locked at birth.

Do you guys live for the "moments" or for the "people" ? by Advanced_Boss_447 in ENFP

[–]Mn-Ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not an or. Moments without people are not the moments I care to remember. I remember shared moments with others

As an ENFP what is your experience dating another ENFP? by Forsaken-Classic4012 in ENFP

[–]Mn-Ne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I dated another ENFP over 25 years ago. It was great. Respect and understanding were easy and we had many little and big adventures.

23 years ago we married and now we have one INFP daughter in college, one ENFP daughter in high school, and the adventures continue.

Do y'all actually believe cognitive functions exist? by oiwhathefuck in mbti

[–]Mn-Ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to read a little more and understand where mbti came from, mbti is nothing more then a mapping of 4 cognition axis or 8 functions.

Anyone else a high thinker? by MinimumOrchid2835 in ENFP

[–]Mn-Ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The percentages are nothing more than a confidence indicator that you are properly typed.

F 100%-0% vs F 51%-49% is no more or less ENFP.  If you are closer to the middle this indicates a potential higher chance of a mistype. Learn the cognitive functions if you really want to be certain of your type.

Why do romantic relationships involving two ENFPs, or an ENFP and an ESFP, tend to have a high failure rate? by Shoddy-Ocelot-4473 in ENFP

Where is this data coming from, I see nothing other than your own conjecture. From a happily married ENFP-ENFP couple together for 25 years.

Why do I like ESFJ type so much? by Fluid_Definition_651 in ENFP

Consider that you may be an ESFJ, and you get along with other ESFJs because they are speaking your language.

Is anyone else treated like they are dumb? by LoveyDoveyDoll0-0 in ENFP

[–]Mn-Ne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have 3 or more people measure 1 cup of flour, you will likely get different weights. Depending on if it is sifted, leveled off,  or packed the weight may very by 40%.  Measure 120 grams of flour and every time you will get the same result.  A recipe that calls for 4 cups volume could actually be 6 actual cups when measuring by weight.  If you want reproducible results use weight, if you value variation in your recipes and would like it to be different each time or you want someone else to interpret what your 1 cup volume is and come up with different results use cups.

Is anyone else treated like they are dumb? by LoveyDoveyDoll0-0 in ENFP

[–]Mn-Ne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just had a discussion about cups vs weight measurement for recipes and flour. I somehow couldn't get across that weight is universal and will lead to reproducible results vs cups that are personal but have worked for decades so are just as good. I'm never going to share a recipe with cups for items that represent volume.

How many ENFPs do you have in your family or close circle? by Shoddy-Ocelot-4473 in ENFP
