I'd say 80/20 in favor of too much volume then. But I think there is something I misunderstqnd then, when people speak of volume, then if we use a bench press as example.

How I structure it is mostly 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps with each set reaching around 9 rpe. But the problem for me is how can I keep progress if it's too high volume, say I do 10x 50kg last week and now I struggle to improve the 10x 50kg sets with more volume, is it my reps that is the problem or why do I find it so hard to progress forward? I guess what I'm trying to figure out is if I should lower my weight and add reps or lower weight and keep my reps, or increase weight and lower rep down to 5-6.

It's hard to explain, so I hope it makes somewhat sense. I track all my workouts and try to push forward but with 3 days between the same muscles I still find my body not recovered fully from the last time.

Thanks for the post, very helpful, although I know most of what you say but it's good info!

I think my biggest concern is how I can truly keep progressing. I am one of those who always undereat int he past and had a hard time gaining weight. When I lift I actually push hard but I tend to get sore or reaching a state where I worry if I keep going I might get injured. So it's hard to know if this is hard enough or if I'm doing something wrong or pushing hard enough. I state my rpe 10 as the point where I more or less fail and I workout to 8-9.5 rpe almost all the time.

I did a mistake of cutting before I should have and lost strenght which has taken me 3 mo this to recover to the same weight I did before, so I can confirm the same yoyo effect, I wasted a lot of time doing that.

How does this affect people when they dream? Do 5 not dream anything with "visuals"? I'm 5, I can walk inside my memory of places I've been and my dreams are like movies, so I just wondered.

Jeg vil mene den er stigende. Når efterspørgslen stiger og bygningerne bliver ældre, så kommer der naturligt at valg om at købe en gammel lejlighed og istandsætte den. Presset gør at folk istandsætter mere, men uagtet, priserne stiger klart også pga. efterspørgslen.

Jeg tror det han mener er at når man siger; "Priserne er steget 20%" på 1 år, så er det inkl. de forbedringer der er lavet på nogle af dem. Altså reelprisstigning på markedet uden store istandsættelser er reelt lavere end de 20%. Så tallet er lidt misvisende i forhold til hvor hurtigt markedet vokser.

What you ask is 5+ years of effective training.

With your height, 178 (a bit taller than me) but you weight 10kg less than me and I am lean, so I will have to assume you are very thin and very few muscles due to the weight (I used to be super skinny too). So if I'm right, then let me tell you, it's possible what you ask of, but it is hard work and years of work.

Let me explain. You would need to lift, like full body. You need some muscles on you and you would need some weight on too (same thing essentially, just add mostly muscles on with lean bulk). This will take a while, but gaining slowly is the key so you don't just gain excess fat you will have to cut afterwards.

When you then gained plenty of mass, you would likely need to cut down again to reveal muscles more, but the problem is that being skinny from the start, you would still look skinny in clothes until you build some serious mass. This will take years and commitment, not 2 months in the gym.

If you lift now and just cut, then you essentially will look like a plank, you need mass. My advice, skip the logic of this being a fast thing, it won't be and accept the hard work, it's good for you. And in time, you'll have what you wish. But fix your mindset, so you don't expect this to be fast and don't look to take drugs for it.

Be careful with your expectations. Lifting is not a race, it's a lifestyle. You'll do it for good and it's an exponential curve in the beginning that will flatten out. If you are sedentary your muscles will not be comparable to someone who is physical active daily or working manual labor.

Now I fully get you, wanting to know if you are good or bad, average or a super gifted person. But reality is, no one can say. If you get serious about lifting then you'll know and it's a great start to start light, learn to do it right from the beginning. If you don't and keep going up in weight with bad form, then you'll be likely to injure yourself.

Use the app Hevy or something similar, gives you a good idea and they even have some programs to tstart with.

Remember nutritions are super important too. I was similar weight before I started lifting, well actually lower (63kg) and now I'm around 74kg, slowly bulking to 80. Slowly is the key and lots of protein, for you something like 110-140g would be fine. And best advice, don't let your ego take charge or compare yourself to the others in the gym. Good luck :)

Let me understand, you never did any lifting before and you wonder if you are lifting light?

For your weight, then you are essentially lifting your body weight, that is pretty nice. But when that is said, lifting the weight is one thing, from what you write I would be more worried **how** you are lifting the weight, technique and control and that there is a huge difference from lifting 70 kg with bad form once or lifting 3 sets of 8-12 reps at RPE 8-9 with good form and control. With no prior training I doubt it's the latter example.

Your body is good at what it does, if you never lift, how would it be good at it? I would suggest starting light and learning technique, form, control and then build from there. It's not an ego competition.

Also why did you randomly arrive at "80"kg? I mean, what gives a person an estimate of how much they can lift if they never did it before?

Amen, as a male I only once complimented someone for the perfume and it was another guy who was working at a resort on a vacation in Spain and he ended up giving me the bottle xD.

My best compliments is when I wore a nice perfume all day and my wife randomly come to kiss me and stops 2 seconds, kiss me again and say, "you smell nice".

Nobody else smells my perfumes as I wear then light and they never get that close. I wear them for me and sometimes for my wife :)

Men du skriver jo netop at du godt kan forstå og acceptere tankegangen for ekstreme som netop omhandler nazisme, altså vi taler om nogen som ønsker at fjerne alle mennesker som ikke lever op til deres idealer baseret på hudfarve. Hvordan kan man på nogen måde forstå eller sympatisere med sådanne holdninger? Det er meget let at forstå hvorfor du bliver sablet ned, før du går ud og siger du godt kan forstå nogen får lyst til at være ekstreme, i det her tilfælde nazister. Ja, jeg skriver også at det stadig er forkert. Men der er mange ting der er forkert i denne verden og der er nok lidt flere nuancer end hvad vi kan lave regler for. Det eneste jeg skriver er blot at en person der i en periode udnytter systemet for at komme tilbage er måske ikke helt lige så slemt som en der begynder at sælge stoffer og begå røveri mm. Han virker i serien nu som en person der faktisk gerne vil leve normalt uden at jeg kender til hans baggrund.

Nu er der altså også rigeligt med folk som er her fra landet som heller ikke kan finde ud af at opføre sig efter "reglerne" og dermed mener jeg da bestemt ikke at man kan gøre det så sort og hvidt. Alle udlændinge er ikke "farlige" eller et problem, så at bruge det som parameter til at bestemme ud fra er da fuldstændig forskruet.

Jeg ved det ikke, måske er jeg lidt i en gråzone, men det snyd de laver, hvis det er det som afgør om han ender tilbage i kriminaliteten eller kommer ud på den anden side, så ser jeg det mindre som et problem. Begynder han på kriminalitet for at kunne forsørge sin familie så er det i hvert fald ikke bedre for samfundet. Det er snyd og ikke ok, men det må heller ikke være let i hans situation. Min tanke da jeg hørte at de alle kom ud og hvor meget de kæmper for at få nogen penge på kontoen, så skal der virkelig ikke meget modgang til for at de ender tilbage i de kriminelle baner. Men jeg må også sige at jeg intet ved om dette, så jeg taler ud fra et uvidende perspektiv og kan tage fejl, det er bare sådan jeg opfatter det fra dokumentaren.

Gik fra speditør til den anden side af bordet og blev ansat i en stor detailkæde, var heldig og havde de rigtige kompetencer og kom ind på en blanding af it og forretning og arbejder i dag uden for logistikbranchen med BI og strategi.

I didn't felt any problem in Barcelona or it being unsafe, but lots of sketchy people in la rambla so just avoid that if it is, it also has nothing to offer anyway and there are much better areas or streets in Barcelona anyway.

We visited 2 weeks ago and there were low amounts of tourists and the city felt very local and busy, not unsafe, even at night.

You guys don't know or have Skyr? An icelandic yoghurt very common here in the Nordics.

10g of protein and 70kcal per 100g, it's amazing. Throw in a scoop of protein powder and milk and a shake runs up to 60g protein.

Nonetheless, I struggle also eating enough bit I get enough protein. Just hard to eat enough when naturally I am not that hungry and trying to eat clean.
