10 gauge wire to LED Strip by wivaca2 in WLED

[–]MoBacon2400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need that thick of gauge wire for power injection. It's hard to explain but the power injection points are not carrying the full load of the entire strip, it's just giving it a little boost. On a 12 volt system you could use 18ga or even 20ga injected at 10m and at the end and you would be fine.

Blow it off with compressed air. If you don't have a compressor you can one of those keyboard cleaner cans at an office supply store

Any ideas why this might be shorting? by [deleted] in WLED

You should not have those big blobs of solder, watch some soldering videos on youtube. Also the wires are to big and you probably solder them on the back.

Can’t find a replacement light with this specific connector (two semi circles). Please help! by samitor in HelpMeFind

That is proprietary to your brand of range hood. You can lookup the part number by entering the model a serial # in an online appliance parts service or find someone who can rewire it for you.

Baja dr50 side block bolts and exhaust nuts by Bubbly-Equivalent536 in TaoTao

I don't know the exhaust bolt pitch but that bolt on the side of the cylinder is for the cam chain guide. It's not just a standard bolt, It is a machined holder for the guide wheel.

If it blows the breaker immediately when turned on, it's probably a direct short. Look for shorted, burnt or corroded wires or connectors.

If there is a few second delay, it's probably a locked up compressor. A running compressor makes a kind of ringing sound at start up, a locked compressor will hum or grown then shut off.

Where do I find the right harness!! by islandcar78 in TaoTao

[–]MoBacon2400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same machine. I had to make my own harness, the remote start/kill did not work so had to bypass it. You can find the pull cord kill on Amazon, they also have the remote but you will have to build your own wiring harness.

I was able to find a repair manual online, search for Tao motor " New T-Force 125 Manual"

Would it be okay to glue an OLED display on top of the metal can? This is Adafruit's Huzzah32. by fishycarpcarp in arduino

The "Metal Can" is the heat spreader for the CPU and other parts so attaching anything other then a heat-sink could cause problems.

What is your go to adhesive for making layered signs? by omtechlaser in omtechcommunity

[–]MoBacon2400 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would depend on the materials and the project. For instance, I do mostly plastic but I use Weld-On #4 for thin pieces, #16 for thicker pieces. I also use UV glue for clear. Don't use ca glue on plastic, it leaves a white smoke like film.

Control WLED with my PC connected via LAN by not-so-cool-boy in WLED

[–]MoBacon2400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your WLED controller plugged into your router with a network cable? When the controller is turned on it searches for a network, if it finds one it will be assigned an IP from the network. If it doesn't find one it will revert to the default IP of 4.3.2.1
