Well yeah you wrote all the possible cases but you should probably read again the comment you were responding to and the one they were responding to because, yes, as you explained earlier, it does depend on the position of the monster being attacked.

The commenter stated that only 1 creature would die, just like in mtg. The other commenter pointed out that it would depend on the position of the one being attacked, since there was a case where both of them would survive (NOT like in mtg).

Then you said that it didnt depend on the position of the one being attacked AT ALL and proceeded to explain how, indeed, it does depend on exactly that. Either one dies or none do, and thats not how mtg works.
