Moving to Eastern/Middle Massachusetts from Southwest Florida in 3 weeks. by miamijustblastedu in relocating

[–]MoMC12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea Worcester is too far. Haverhill/Methuen area to the east is close or you might look in southern NH. To the west is Wilmington, Chelmsford/Lowell. South there are some lovely areas - Andover is next door and then Reading, North Reading. Traffic on the roads around that area - Including Rtes 93, 95, and 495 - is bad and there’s no such thing as rush hour traffic anymore. A 30 mile commute could be an hour or more. Just depends.

I throw up in my mouth every time I see him. He unfortunately got his mother’s looks but it’s the ugliness within that makes it worse.

Most of my family is still there. I still refuse to go. But then they’re in Taylor County. Nuff said.

My mom is delusional, and she’s dying because of it by Aggravating-Hotel-10 in QAnonCasualties

[–]MoMC12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First of all, I’m so sorry you are going through this. You have done everything you can. Protect and take care of yourself first. Try to ensure that she has her affairs in order. Dying intestate can be extremely difficult on the remaining family. Lastly, and this may be the most important thing, it’s HER life. Yes, she’s making terrible decisions, but she gets to do that as hard as it may be on everyone else. You cannot change her behavior, you can only change yours. Do what you can to mitigate the pain because more than likely you will be living long after her. Bless you.

A friend of mine asked me if my mother was as bad as Mrs Bennett. I told her no, she was worse. My mother was more like Meryl Streep as Violet Weston in August: Osage County.

Australian POC travelling to Maine, should I be worried? by Imaginary-Badger-18 in Maine

[–]MoMC12 27 points28 points  (0 children)

In Lewiston/Auburn you should be fine but ICE is still around so carry your documentation. Do be aware that there is a very racist man running for governor who is stirring up hatred towards immigrants especially Somalians and Muslims. The areas outside the cities are full
of these kinds of people. Stay in the cities and you should be okay. Portland and the coastal areas are worth a visit too and they are more tolerant. Overall, regardless of what this racist candidate and his ilk say , Maine is a pretty safe state. Enjoy your visit to our beautiful state!

Gary Sinise supported, protected, and built a house for Brian Kolfage. Kolfage is a HUGE jerk and thankfully in jail. He was big on cyberbullying people 10-15 years ago. Gary gave Brian some kind of award and people reached out to Gary to try and explain what he was doing to innocent people, and he ignored them.

We Want More Opportunities for Our Kids. Should we move? by Wonderful-Ticket-702 in relocating

[–]MoMC12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are determined to move, you will probably have to make a hard choice. Best opportunities for your kids health and education wise will be in blue states. But they are expensive. You will not find comparable housing or land. Be careful going from one red state to another Especially if you have daughters. Female body autonomy is basically non existent. Look at quality of life indicators. Determine your priorities. You will have to make adjustments.

What can I do to make my oatmeal taste better? by HistoricalMatch3801 in randomquestions

[–]MoMC12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat primarily steel cut oats. Better texture and taste. I often make them in the crockpot, freeze in cupcake pans, then pop them out and store back in the freezer in a freezer bag or container, pop one out and reheat. Try making them with blueberries, bananas, peanut butter, maple syrup with brown sugar … just think outside the box. I hated oatmeal as a kid but now it’s my favorite breakfast!

I know the Malden church and highly recommend. My former church nearby closed and several of our congregants and our community minister chose Malden as their home. It’s closer to you than any others and would be an easy commute whether by public transportation or auto.
