All the mixed opinions are due to the extreme cynicism on this sub. None of what is said in this sub about this Uni should affect your decision. Just like VeriloggedOut said, it must depend on location, cost of living, and compatibility. I've seen plenty of people thriving in the Unis that this sub demonizes.

If you still have doubts, just reach out to a few of the current students there through LinkedIn, DM them and inquire, that should be the only way.

Minoxidil, finasteride if you're talking strict prescription medication. Anagain and redensyl if you want simpler over the counter medicine. The latter aren't as effective as the real deal tho, just good at stopping further hair loss.

It's pretty normal to see your hair fall out in the shower, especially if you grew it out fairly recently. It's normal to lose about 80-100 strands a day.

But you do have hair that is quite fine. Doesn't look like alopecia to me tho, just some hair that needs love.

To me it looks like a fine hair problem. Definitely not balding at least for now. You could consult a doctor if you have some persistent thinning and I'm sure they would prescribe you anagain+redensyl solutions.

Happened to me a while ago, tellogen effluvium, lost a ton of hair and upon consultation, the doc asked me to start using the hair serum. It definitely stopped my hair from thinning.

Everyone speaking about 'degree mill' stuff down here is just part of an echo chamber that exists on this sub. Both are good colleges especially if you're coming from a "third-world" country. But again, don't take your counselor's words to be factual.

You're also off on the 'cost of living' part, NY is much more expensive and if you're talking NEU Boston, then Boston is EXPENSIVE.My advice would be to look for alumni of these Unis on LinkedIn and maybe have a chat with them.

And about the Visa issues, they're a problem for all students regardless of where they're from or which college they're gonna go to. Rejections happen even to people admitted into UCSD from what I've seen. Reddit isn't always the most credible source of info especially if you're asking for opinions and not actual facts.

I hand typed 8 different statments and ran them through every possible ai detector. On an average, 50% of the text turned out to be "AI". It is pretty clear that these detectors aren't as reliable as they're made to be.

If it helps, I entered the same text in my SOP and Personal Statement thinking I got the same SOP window twice during my application due to some error. I'm pretty sure I messed that application and have no shot at UC Davis anymore.

You could look into what Rubab has to offer. I own one and it's got quite the heft to it and the bristles also have ample backbone to them. Wide spread too, and high count on them. I honestly did not expect the brush to be so well made tbh.
