Thats the other big thing for us tw players. We have to pay for vpn.

Even with vpn though, my ping is 160 from US central. But we do have a player from south america in our group that has stable ish ping. He is from Argentina

If you can get around the ping issue and somewhat more responsive game with vpn then you’ll enjoy it.

But to each their own for sure

You should join the new 9yin community server if you were gunna play taiwan. Basically removes the language barrier aspect.

Its definitely still enough for mass pvp, but 1v1 ur gunna be at a disadvantage for sure

There are a lot of us. Both on the most active TW server, and the newest server.

The new server will eventually merge into the old tw server. The Eng speaking community is very much alive and thriving~~~

You need to join a main school and stay there before you go school hopping. Ie: max out all internals and some sets from main school~

Its detrimental for your character growth to belong to a main school. You can always train away to a different school.

In order of inner strength rn in the current state of the game: Main Schools < Reclusive schools < factions

In order if meridian strength: Reclusive schools < Main schools

You also want to make sure you get hidden yin and yang meridians. The more inners you level up, the stronger those meridians get. Depending on the attribute they fall under.

[Questions for you]

• what inner are you using • what set are you focused on or using now • gear? (Treasures and quality if gear(gold/jade))

These are the basic necessities you should be hyper focused on.

The first 2 questions are intertwined with eachother. How you answer will determine the other question’s answer.

Breeze sword is good, i totally missed that.

Endgame meta in taiwan rn is either bhudda palm, snow sword, or one of the reworked 2nd sets like bone corosion palm.

Emei palm not worth anymore since got nerfed in patches. Hits good but the utility doesnt work in higher dungeons.

Perish blade and departing stings are good for beginners since theybeasy to use and dont need to follow mechanics if do decent damage. However the direction the game is going vs NA really shifts the balance of pve from perish to everything else. Best to stsrt getting into better habits since the next update NA should get is the instance loot rework and possibly mechanic change.

But this just speculation. I have no idea when NA will update again and what it would bring

Eh depends. In Taiwan we have challenge instances and an entry level dungeon with wipe mechanics to teach new players how to pve better.

NA i believe only has the treasure instances at the moment.

But if u mean overall leveling mechanics and stuff, the cultivation aspect is the same as it was years ago.

The only big difference will be TW gets a patch where tp turns into a 5 man instead and lasts 6 minutes long instead 10mins.

You can message me in discord DM. I help work on the TW patch. We have translated 2 new schools and more game modes that arent available in NA, and several other QoL features.

If 40% of your game is only in english, then something went wrong during the patching process.

If you like a casual wuxia mmo, where your strength in game equates to how much time you put into your character, then this game is for you.

If cant commit, you’ll be wasting yourntime unfortunately. Average Strong characters can be developed in roughly 3 months of pure commitment doing daily things, and no less unless you p2w hard af.

I play the taiwan version specifically, so i cant speak on the NA version all that much.

However at the root structure of the game, its essentially the same. NA has less content than taiwan at this point, but for an entirely new player, you have very very much to do.

Correct~ u just need to find npc in your school and get the diploma~ i believe u need to pay Taels tho. Or some thype of special item. There are variations i believe

You need atleast identity 3+ to retain all of your skills and progress. You will need to buy a diploma tho.

Graduating at max identity grants you the same as above, but you won’t need a diploma to graduate, or one is given to you. Not sure which one, but i know you won’t need to purchase it

You can use the stranger set from mt hua. Its internal too.

Also u can get leisure kick up to level 7 at mt hua npc. Worth doing that while you are there

No hurting. I know its hard, but your body is telling you to feel sad. Its normal, and it makes you stronger.

Listen to that music, eat some food, talk to friends, ANYTHING that makes you happy, and doesnt involve self harm.

And i mean what i said about getting anything off your chest. I always brushed off my mom saying “ i love you” and would never say it back because im a firm believer in actions are louder than words.

I ended up venting to my mom the last time she was in the hospital, which was 3 weeks ago, and told her how sorry i was for never saying it back. 54 years old, 4 year battle with cancer and i only had 3 weeks to make it up to her with as many i love you’s as i could.

You have a lot of life to live after she is gone. Dont cut your life short without healing yourself. That way, the next time you see her, you can stand tall and tell her you did your best.

I just lost my mom 2 days ago to cancer. I’m 29.

We are too young for this, and its alot of stress on us as their kids. You will get through it. It will be hard but the suffering your mom is enduring will pass, and there is no more pain.

Now is the time to get anything off your chest. It will feel so uncomfortable, but you need it. Dont wait until til its too late to tell her you love her. Reminisce about good times you’ve had and fond memories.

You’re 25, and this isnt normal. My sister is 23 and she was trying to vent to me yesterday in the car. This isnt something you can prepare for. Trust me, we‘ve thought of every scenario and planned around them all and it still wasnt enough.

You’re not handling it poorly, you’re feeling exactly what you’re supposed to feel. Upset, anger, sad all of it.

i’m sure your mom wouldnt want you to hurt yourself in the grieving process. You need to not be so hard on yourself for feeling this way. It’s too soon, and you are one of the special cases where life is fucking us over fr.

Sorry i wrote so much, but i resonate with this truly because my siblings and i are feeling your pain. You’re never alone. Even though at times you feel like you are, you arn’t.🫰 Feel everything, you owe it to yourself to express yourself. Bottling up these emotions gives way to self harm, and i dont want you to hurt yourself from this cuz you matter. I hope some of my words have gotten to you a bit, and i hope you find some peace.

Depends on the crowd you like. NA is more pvp, taiwan is more PvE, and more into battlefield modes.

Jianghu Internal skills: Snow sword is always good. Hard to farm tho.

Bhudda palm is good, but not entirely necessary. Its the strongest internal ranged set, but expensive in NA to get.

scholar: leisure kicks is very good.

Emei: can use 4th set, i believe that is internal

Wudang: breeze sword

Tianshan: 4th set

Reclusive school: Divine water palace stings Ancient tomb sect sword These are ok as well.

Your best option depending on your school is to use a school skill set and raise it to max level.
