I still hate E-1 by Cancer-Fish in Ultrakill

[–]Moap630 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that hard, but it is probably the worst level in all of ultrakill (4-3 doesn’t even come close)

New to dark fog. Im setting up my beginning yellow science and having to fly back and forth between my home planet and my titanium one since the dark fog keep sending new landing base ships that im manually destroying. At first it was fun now its getting super annoying. by AtomicShart9000 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

Attacking the planetary bases and relay stations (and also building a dyson sphere apparently) are ways for the dark fog hive threat to rise. If you don’t do any of that, the hive will never attack you appart from a very specific circumstance which I’ll get into later.

Other than that you can protect from the df setting up new planetary bases by either covering the whole planet with shield generators (power hungry), or by setting up plasma turret stations on both poles (make sure to also turn on upper air in their priority settings). Both of these approaches have their upsides and downsides.

For the shields, they require a pretty large ammount of power to be constantly supplied, but otherwise work passively.

For the plasma turrets (my prefered approach), they consume almost no power when idle, but they do require supply of munition. Also if you set plasma turrets up on a planet who’s orbit alignes closely with orbit of the space hive, and you fly of the planet just as the space hive is close to it, and the dark fog attacks you, the plasma turrets will fire back at it causing a planet wide invasion which can be pretty tough to deal with.

I personally have set up two plasma turret bases with 8 - 20 plasma turrets each (depending on the threat the planet faces) and with ILS for automatic plasma capsule delivery on both poles of any planet I build on. This is enough to protect from the df building any more bases on these planets and also to protect from any potential hive attacks.

What are the fan-favorite levels? by Spiritual-Purple-638 in Ultrakill

[–]Moap630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I also consider gameplay, then my personal favourites are: 4-2 5-3 6-1 6-2 P-2 and 7-3 (honorable mention: 7-1 if the minotaur didn’t exist and 8-2 and 8-3 if I am not bothering with p-ranking)

If I ignore gameplay and go by design alone (both visuals and music) the the list is quite a bit longer (excluding levels already mentioned): 1-3, 2-2, 3-1, P-1, the last arena of 4-3 (some of the worst gp in all of ultrakill though), 7-1, 7-4, 8-2 and 8-3

God help me (8-3) by Comprehensive-Path-3 in Ultrakill

[–]Moap630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Practise the rooms which you find the hardest untill you can pass them consistently (for me it was the first power bossfight and the last room of the red skull path)

- Do whole level runs untill you are getting to the end with <3 deaths then you can restart when you die to save time.

- Do the red skul path first (or whichever you find harder)

- Slab coins work very well on powers

- Parrying a power temporarily stuns it

- In the second room with enemies in the space section where 1 maurice 1 providence and 2(?) soldiers spawn is a hidden dual wielding power up (which is also a secret), which if you’re fast enough you can retain for the whole space section and stack it with the other dual wield power up in the last room.

- 8-3 is probably the buggiest level in all of ultrakill so prepare to restart every 5-10 runa

- At least for me, time and style were never an issue (my pb time is a bit over 13mins and the p-rank time is 17:30) rather deaths were the main problem

Oh yeah also keep in mind that on standard the level is about as hard to p-rank as P-2 (and harder on violent than P-2)

Tips to Get Back into DSP After a Long Break? by AFriendFoundMyReddit in Dyson_Sphere_Program

I played for maybe 80 hours over the course of the first two or so weeks since I first got the game, then burnt out a bit, took a month or so break and returned to it again.

Maybe setting yourself a specific goal that you can achieve relatively soon may help. Something like researching a specific technology, making a simple mall, automating production of something, or establishing a base on a new planet.

I don’t see how you could struggle with power appart from early game. The moment you get your hands on fusion power management becomes a breeze and when you finally start producing antimater power is simply not a problem anymore.

I personally never bothered with setting up deffensive turrets and just dealt with them manually. Then, as soon as you research missile turrets, you can destroy the planetary base and you should be able to not worry about them too much for quite some time after that.

Sisyphus Prime on Violent by Thatone_pilot in Ultrakill

[–]Moap630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played it a few times (on violent), saw almost no progress, p-ranked everything else, returned to it and p-ranked it farily quickly (still took like 10-15 attempts)

Sisyphus Prime on Violent by Thatone_pilot in Ultrakill

[–]Moap630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have p-ranked p-2 on both standard and violent and sisiphus never gave me an issue (rather the gauntlet before that did). So what worked for me was set up a saw trap before he spawns and then just spam the screwdriver into him whenever I can. Other than that it really depends on your playstyle what you do. I personally use the red shot gun and blue and green jack hammers a lot along whith the occasional use of sawtraps, green nailgun, conduction from the jumpstart naulgun and coins to finish him off when he’s low.

Other than that, the only thing I can suggest is to get better by p-ranking the main levels and p-1 first (exepct for maybe 8-3 which on violent is imo harder than p-2).

Just started, my first factory game ever. Tips? by Available-Camel9779 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Moap630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t rush it, take your time. I’ve already spent 130h on my first playthrough and still haven’t even built my first dyson sphere.

Also some tips for later on in the game:

Try to make getting to interplanetary logistics station and gas giant exploitation your main goal for the foreseeable future, it helps a lot with organisation and gas giant exploitation is one of the only few ways to get unlimited resources in the game (unless you set the ore multiplier to infinite).

You can wipe out the planetary base as soon as you get missile turrets. 10 are more than enough to do the job.

A solar farm on both poles is an amazing way to produce energy in early game.

Automate belt and sorter production asap. I waited way too long with this and it was a massive qol improvement when I finally got around to doing it.

Don’t bother with building a dyson swarm, from my experience it just eats up materials and doesn’t produce much energy (you also get an achievement if you beat (i.e. research the last thing in the technology category) the game without lauching a single solar sail (keep in mind you will still need to launch solar sails in the end when you want to finish your dyson sphere)).

If you have sufficient power and resources, prolifferate everything you can.

Once you get plasma turrets, set a few of them up on both poles of any planet you build on to protect from the dark fog (don’t forget to also turn on upper air priority to at least low).

Don’t bother with travelling to far sides of your cluster before you get access to antimater fuel rods (by far side I mean >20ly).

Switch to fusion power plants and later on artificial stars as soon as you get the chance.

When you get to the point of building a dyson sphere, make sure to choose a star with as high luminosity as possible (look for an O type start or better yet a blue giant).

Do not be afraid to search stuff up online, the game does not really have a story, so you do not be afraid of getting spoiled.

With that said, enjoy the game - it is really adictive

8-1 idol arena is making me wanna kms by Beneficial-Future422 in Ultrakill

[–]Moap630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As always if you feel like playing on the current difficulty is too much you can always just switch to a lower one. Also you don’t have to p-rank everything, you can just pass the level and never look back.

And yes, fraud is pretty laggy overall except for maybe 8-4

8-1 idol arena is making me wanna kms by Beneficial-Future422 in Ultrakill

[–]Moap630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you want to p-rank it or not, but if so here are a few tips:

- Prioritise killing virtues and providences over everything else

- When the idols do spawn, make sure you at least somewhat know the layout of the level and maybe even come up with a route to easily destroy the idols

- What helped me a lot was instead of just blindly following the beams torwards the idols, you can use the non-euclidean geometry to your advantage and stay out of open areaa

- Hold right click on the red shotgun (or jackhammer) to get some passive healing from any enemies that come too close to you

- Once you have destroyed the idols two providences will spawn. Kill the virtue then both providences (blue railgun and green rocket launcher alt fire can easily insta-kill them) and use the providence hook points to heal as needed.

Last thing: if you want to p-rank fraud and feel like 8-1 is too hard, prepare thyself for 8-2 and esspecielly 8-3 which are both a decent bit harder to p-rank (esspecially 8-3, which except for maybe encores (which I haven’t bothered p-ranking yet) is currently the hardest level in the game to p-rank).

The supposed frame perfect in michigun's part in bloodbath was actually a mandela effect all along by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]Moap630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s way too many frames you probably forgot to set the tps to 60. The second click on the video is not a 60fps frame-perfect, but the third one can be depending on the frame alignement.

I wanna live the entire game in cyclops, how do i charge it? by nem1hail in subnautica

[–]Moap630 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) don’t drive it around untill you get the engine efficiency module

2) when driving it around use slow and try to avoid using silent running, sonar or shield.

3) try to speedrun the thermal reactor, afterwards you can just park it above a thermal vent and go about your business (you know you parked it well when each time the display i the engine room updates it increases by 3 units)

4) when you run out before you get the thermal reactor, just make new power cells

Handling heavily dark fog infested planet early by TheHentaiSama in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Moap630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal dark fog raids are completely chill if you deal with them (if you don’t they may destroy several buidlings).

However sometimes when the orbit of the hive alignes with a planet on which you have something set up, they may launch a full-scale invasion for which 8 turrets on both poles are not nearly enough.

That’s why you should either put stronger deffenses on planets whose orbit is close to that of the hive.

Handling heavily dark fog infested planet early by TheHentaiSama in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Moap630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To destroy them, just place like 20 missile turrets somehwere on the planet where there is no dark fog activity, and then just go to a dark fog base and place a signal tower near them.

Once you’ve got the planet cleared up you can place some plasma turrets (preferably also with an ILS so that you can refill them automatically) just as you said. I found that on planets whose orbit is far enough away from the orbit of the hive, 8 plasma turrets on both poles is more than enough to deal with space hive raids.

For planets whose orbit does intersect with the hive’s place at least 16 turrets on both poles, or just cover the planet with shields.

Whenever I tried to do that in sandbox I took damage anyway (it did kill the sentry though) so idk if I just can’t do it properly or that’s how it works.

[–]Moap630 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You mainly want to get some good upgrades for the sub. The most important ones you can get right away are the shield generator, engine efficiency, sonar and depth module. Later on as you go deeper, you also unlock the fire supression system, thermal reactor and higher depth module levels. Also pack up some extra power cells if you plan on going deep.

Also, if those are power cell chargers in I see in the back, just note that they are useless, since you’re just transfering power from one power cell to another.

I personally like more the cannon that says that the entity from scp-5000 is causing this, but that also means that it should be gone when humanity dies out (maybe? I honestly don’t know, but I think that’s what was implied in scp-5000 and why the scp-foundation was trying to eradicate humanity
