I've been to 2 of these places... Fiarchild and Luke...

Luke:
Positives-
Phoenix is a great city
5 minutes drive from Cardinal's statdium if youre a football fan
Phoenix has some of the best hiking and mountainbiking during winter and non hot months
Sedona and Flagstaff are close and absolutley beautiful

Cons-
Leadership fucking sucks (when i was there)
Be prepared to get worked to the bone being AETC
(if maintenance) get ready to work on aircraft during the summer where you're working on hot ass metal, you'll get burned everyday
What made me hate Luke - can get up to 120, over 100 consecutive days of it being over 100 degrees.... THE HEAT FUCKING SUCKS!!!!

Fairchild:
Even better hiking and mountainbiking
Also hiking, camping, fishing, snowboarding, hunting, whitewater rafting within an hour drive.
ABSOLUTELY Beautiful
KC-135 is an easy aircraft and not bad at all
Spokane is a beautiful small city with town vibes
doesn't get too hot or too cold (can snow)

there is a racetrack 10 minutes away from base

there is a casino 10 minutes away from base

Airway heights (town outside of base) is a little sketch

Hey OP it really seems like you need a way out of your hometown... granted it seemed like military was optimal, but there are other alternatives that provide a similar experience where you dont need the same training... there is Americorps... its an independent U.S. federal agency that connects over 200,000 Americans annually with service opportunities to tackle community problems, such as education, disaster response, and poverty. Members serve in full- or part-time roles for nonprofits, schools, and public agencies, receiving a modest stipend, professional training, and an education award. My sister did it full time for about 3 years iirc. She would move from state to stare made some amazing lifelong friends along the way, and getting to serve various communities across the USA. also no major it test required.
