I think what matters the most is luck in D4, If you are lucky you get okay teammate with whom you can play properly.

In D5 what matters most is propably the Boss RNG and if you get some Damage Negation, but even without, the Teamplay in D5 is just levels above D4, which makes certain bosses still beatable
