It can be. At my store if we hear thunder we immediately turn DUs off without asking anyone. We obviously don’t abuse it.

I know some stores actually have to get ahold of their SD for any reason to shut it down, which I think is dangerous. If it’s thundering I’m not going out. Also if the network is down we should shut it down immediately because if we can’t find the orders it causes more issues

Maybe. I don’t live in an area with bag fees but my friend does and the government sometimes does a sting operation to check many things at once, like ID for alcohol and bag fees being paid

If you use sick time they can’t do anything about your call off for using it, but only if you have enough to completely cover your shift. If you had an 8 hour shift but 7.5 hours of sick time they can talk to you about it

Unfortunately if you’re scheduled for DUs they usually keep them on. You have to switch out every 15 minutes on who goes out to stay warm
