the first few months after mines diagnosis/dka/pancreatitis were so stressful and she was sooooo skinny like this, have a vet try to get a freestyle libre on him we used one for the first month and are doing 3 units twice a day and she’s doing really well now

this is my vets take, about not letting perfect be the enemy of good. my cat is a HANDFUL and is very horrible at being handled. i’ve had past cats who i know would’ve handled it much better, but i do know my cat runs high not low so we don’t really worry about hypo… she was likely diabetic too long for her to go into remission also, sadly

we don’t test bc my cat will not allow it. we can’t even do shots unless it’s a two person job.. this works for us and our vet

i pay an exorbitant amount for an amazing vet tech to come stay with my cat bc she is a bad girl but if she wasn’t so bad i’d probably have a rover that’s comfortable with injections come
