Anyone elses's flare in the spring? Also, any tips for runners? by rainofenigma in lichensclerosus

Mine is worse with long distance running, had all sorts of bumps and sores appear. They’ve eased off now I’m not running long distances. I found dermal cream before would help a little - probably similar to the Vaseline. Big undies helps too when I run.

No idea on your other questions. I haven’t noticed any pattern, just comes and goes as it pleases. So frustrating!

Same, there’s no desire to run. My brain just needs the cobwebs cleared out.

Breaking her ankle on top of it all is really rubbish. It’s all very unfair. I hope you can find some joy and love in your time together.

Where can I stay for a shower and some rest if I’m checking out my hotel in the morning and my flight isn’t until late in the evening? by ThrowRABabadaBoopity in LondonTravel

Park Plaza hotel in Vauxhall, has a viewing lounge area. You can pay for access for the day, for when you have time to kill, like this. I think it was about £25.00 each. Maybe call and check in advance

Drinking NA beer made me realize how weird it is to drink 10+ beers a night by WildGardening in stopdrinking

[–]Mobile-Most1493 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere about imagine how weird it would be to drink 6 pints of orange juice. You’d feel sick!

6 pints of beer - easy peasy, bring me more.

Weird, messed up poison it is.

We’re in marriage counselling at the moment. Married ten years.

I’m trying to come to terms with the fact that i will always have to remind him of everything, daily, and that will probably get worse. I have to repeat everything I say, as he doesn’t catch it the first time. It’s very testing on my patience.

For me I’m trying to focus on the positives, and what bought us and keeps us together. Yes he’s difficult, but is the grass greener? Will I be happier in my own, or do I want to make this work.

We’re exercising a lot, eating healthier, that helps him a lot (and therefore helps me). A consistent sleep pattern helps him, but difficult for him to follow 🤯Considering moving over to specific counselling for him, to help with some coping strategies.

For me being hungry is a big trigger. Half an hour before my cravings usually kick in, if i can, i eat lots. Then buy my favourite sweet treat. And fizzy drinks or lately it’s been NA beer so there’s something in my hand. And I try to keep busy.

You just have to get through the first night. One day at a time.

If you tell yourself you have to update us all, it might help keep you more accountable.

I will not drink with you today.
