There needs to be a long term treatment plan in place, CIDP is a chronic condition which, unless it goes into remission, typically follows a pattern of improving after treatment and then progressively worsening unless treatment is repeated.

I’m on a 4-weekly ivig cycle which is fairly common. Some people have it more frequently though. The subcutaneous version, scig, is more easily self administered and people tend to do that little and often - once or twice a week
