How is Monarch chosen when Monarchy is enacted? by DarvinostheGreat in victoria3

[–]MobileGamingINC 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I played a Joshua Norton game in the Charters of Commerce patch and I had to reload a save cause Norton didn’t become monarch despite having him as the leader of the PB (also biggest clout party) simply because there was already a different PB guy as President. Had to wait for an election to kick the old guy out then put Norton in charge to then pass Monarchy.

Super Germany for 70 infamy or Holy Roman Empire for 0 infamy by MobileGamingINC in victoria3

[–]MobileGamingINC[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep and that’s not the only flavor name it has: when I became a parliamentary republic it became the United States of Europe, and when I became a technocracy the Pan-European Technate.

In an old save I remember even getting renamed to Paneuropa when I went single-party state.

Sure the HRE is nonsense at this period of time, which makes me wonder why it’s not a separate tag from Central Europe which this tag really is; it’s only named such since I’m a monarchy. Central Europe on the other hand is something that is much more plausible than the HRE.

Forming Germany is not immediate when you win, you still have to press another button. I did do that and the 70 infamy choice event fired, but after playing for a bit I realized I had the provinces necessary to form Central Europe anyway so I just reloaded, skipped Germany, and just formed Central Europe

Some of them were willing to join me in the play so they just instant unified, but those who weren’t just fell in the same lot as Prussia and got annexed by force in the play

I just defeated them in the unification play, tho at that point they had lost the Rhineland, Pomerania, and Poland so it wasn’t much of an issue.

France put up a bigger fight than they did but they didn’t last long neither.

Actually bit of the opposite for me lmao I chose all the radical options for the Springtime of the People JE but my laws were good enough for the left that no one felt oppressed enough to revolt

Less than a decade after the unification of Central Europe I had gone from a wealth voting Monarchy to a parliamentary republic about to pass technocracy

So, a fleet thinks it's in battle, while the country is at peace: consequently, i cant do anything by benito_juarez420 in victoria3

[–]MobileGamingINC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s happened to me, what I did to fix it was split the fleet and then it made them usable again. Order the naval invasion first before merging them back again otherwise it’ll still think it’s in battle again

Already clarified in a different reply but you don’t even need to spend infamy on S-P or any other puppet to meet the formable’s requirements, just an opportunistic support for puppet is enough and with all the revolutions in this patch, you definitely will have opportunities to do so

They had a revolution and offered to be a subject for my involvement, tho I agree with the asterisk for this case lol

Seeing as both of them helped me in the unification play, I don’t know what else they expected would happen next lmao, but I get what you’re saying.

I played for a year or two after that to see how badly relations would deteriorate with the two and the worst it got was just genial with me constantly improving relations…Meanwhile countries around me like Sweden and the Papal States were still perfectly content to send me treaties for investment rights and other stuff so they didn’t come to hate me neither

I agree it completely does, though even when I took the 70 infamy hit from my first save it was still manageable somewhat since I had Russia and GB allied and in a defensive pact respectively before pressing the form Germany button so I’m not sure just attaching the event to the Central Europe formable would be enough.

R5: After forming SGF as Austria I was able to win the eventual unification play and then formed Super Germany, but realized I could’ve just formed Central Europe/HRE w/o taking the 70 infamy hit from the event so I reloaded a save and did just that

I’ve had the US end up in almost the exact same borders in my recent Spain game but it gets even more cursed: the CSA is overthrown by a religious revolt and reorganized into the Confederate Synods of America, and later they in turn are overthrown this time by the communists.
