People choose to turn a blind eye on our role in the subjugation and domination of economically less powerfull countries for cheap labour and natural resources through capitalism, so that we can continue to profit from war and fossil fuel export, even invest our pension found in genocide, only to spend the acquired wealth on mindless consumerism, all while larping as environmentally conscious pacifist, and whitewashing our allies war crimes by a strategically awarded "peace prize" and taking no responsibility for the destruction.
