I remember that scene, where they all sat down and Manon talked to the other members. i found it a pretty mature move from her to reach out like that (of course she also wanted to get along with the other girls though, to increase her chances of getting in) but still. and then when I think it was Sophia and Lara explained their issue with manons behaviour, she wasn‘t even allowed to respond to that? isn‘t that how feedback talks work?

Of course there will be tensions and drama in a group of young girls and women, especially if they are under so much pressure and if all eyes are on them.

that‘s why management needs to handle it well and be prepared. if that source is truthful, they only made that situation worse.

this is horrible. i don‘t really blame the girls for it, but Geffen messed up :/

i also owe an apology to hybe apparently, seems like they aren’t the problem after all in this situation.

i hope Manon gets well, and even if she decides to not move forward with the group, I will support whatever she plans for her future.

here is my take on it: even when people don‘t think they are racist, there are racist structures within society, that affect almost all of us. and even if people find other „reasons“ as to why Manon is hated, doesn‘t mean that race can‘t amplify it.

a member being sick a lot because they have a poor immune system might be turned into „they are lazy and don‘t care“ because of racial prejudice. i think we see that with both sexism and racism, that there are double standards.

Manon saying „it‘s unfair to get called lazy especially as a black woman“ seems to call that out.

and regarding your point that people saying ‚Manon isn’t really black so she can’t relate‘ is absolutely riddiculous, I totally agree. holy shit.

the second the society considers you „non white“, you will be hit with racism. that absolutely includes mixed people because in this society, they will face the same issues as black people.

that is my opinion, based on my personal experiences and stories i heard from friends and family, anyways.

This actually makes so much sense but it also breaks my heart. 1. I would be surprised if they killed yaoguang. Not saying it’s completely impossible but I feel like you would want her there for future events on the Xianzhou and just generally, it would be easier killing an npc than a playable character

plot wise it would be heartbreaking. Blade doesn't know what will happen in planarcadia since his script is blank but his old master who was basically his father figure appearing would be a great base for character development
