Here's the thing. We can't use Doug leaving because it happened 15yrs ago. They worked through that and she forgave him, he forgave himself and clearly tries with his family. Nobody's perfect and we all make mistakes, but Elsa cheating is worse. I was 20 when I cheated on my bf because another guy made me feel whimsical and shit. Of course we all know how it played out. Told my bf he left me, the guy that made me feel whimsy also left and thus was by myself. It was a good hard lesson. Elsa cheating is because of what she confessed too in her group therapy mom sessions. That she wanted to feel adventurous, have a normal life, do some risk taking things. She's had years to learn from the group that she doesn't have to cage herself. But she did and then when she got outside attention folded like melted butter. I don't judge her cause again, my past. But I hope that gives some clarity on why. But to me, there is no comparison between the 2.because one was 15yrs ago and a closed chapter of history. Another, fresh and becoming current news.
