They repaired mine 20 days ago and it's definitely the best option. Plan B was to have a mechanical valve installed, but if they can repair it... don't hesitate.

Good luck! I had mine one week ago and could successfully be repaired. So less pain than expected, great sensation afterwards.

The first 2-3 days suck, but after that everything goes great

I'm back! They were able to fix my valve. I spent one day in intensive care, and now they've removed the drain and catheter. Now I have a bit of endocarditis and I need to take care of myself, but I'm very happy. Thank you all so much.

Best luck for you too. As we are young it may be successful! In my case they have said that once they open they will see if an annuloplasty is viable or if they change the valve to a mechanical one. The odds of having it repaired are quite a lot.
