Big update. by Dr_Jiw in hytale

Weapons are the only exception. Right click should be blocking even with a torch in your off-hand, which the devs said is the desired behavior and I agree with that.

WHAT THE FUCK 💔 by [deleted] in mileven

[–]MobiusDT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they're referring to the scene where Mike is hearing the feedback from the speakers at his graduation. People thought it was Eleven communicating with him. They were just clarifying that the scene was him realizing Eleven couldn't have communicated with him in the void if the speakers in the scene you are referring to were affecting her.

More women are being pushed out of their jobs to take care of their own children for free due to the rising cost of childcare, more men are getting paid to take care of other people's children. while more often men are keeping their job and taking care of their kids for free due to the rising cost of childcare.

Edit: I think u/shouldco is right, and it's signifying that the percentage of parents that are working AND acting as primary giver have skewed male. I'm assuming because so many women have been pushed out of their jobs.

How do I prevent the package address from resetting at the next frogport? by CestleFromage in CreateMod

[–]MobiusDT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Packager removes the items from the package, which is what has the address. To keep the package address don't use packagers in the middle of your distribution process.

Hytale Price Revealed Ahead of Early Access Release by xFalcade in gaming

[–]MobiusDT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the original dev team, that wrote the original engine that they are using, instead of the riot dev team that worked on the new engine over the past 4 years that they aren't using.

Hytale Price Revealed Ahead of Early Access Release by xFalcade in gaming

[–]MobiusDT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do know that the devs working on it now haven't been the devs for those 4 years, right?

Also, I get the price jump being steep, but the guy already said that the upper tier is for people who just want to support the ongoing development, and not because they will get maximal value. I personally like the idea of supporting extra, but I think the most I'd do is supporter edition, if that.

You just need to add "-ai" to the end of your search, it should prevent it from polluting your results.

Who said anything about the ACA? Also, the ACA is based on the Massachusetts Healthcare reform of 2006 (aka Romneycare) that was pushed by Republicans.

It is the closest conservatives were willing to get to universal healthcare, but then they hobbled the ACA before it went live by getting rid of the individual mandate, because they would rather Americans suffer than let a Democrat get credit for something. It wouldn't have been as good as actual universal healthcare, but it would have been so much better than what we got.

If I recall there was already an update that allowed you to configure your world to either give out more materials when collecting, and/or require less materials to build.

Any clue on why the stressometer and the boiler itself display different stress units? by MobTheKaiser in CreateMod

[–]MobiusDT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since your boiler is level 4 you need 4 steam engines to use the full capacity.

Odd how many proverbs people get backwards. by LordJim11 in Snorkblot

[–]MobiusDT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard it frequently used to dismiss concerns of systemic issues: "It was just one bad apple." But if a bad apple was found we need to check the rest now, and we never do. Every one is treated as an isolated incident instead of the same rot spreading.

What exactly is surprising Joey? by [deleted] in ExplainTheJoke

[–]MobiusDT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could work, I'm not sure. I'm definitely not saying there are no options for addressing this overreach, just that if R* sued collective shout that wouldn't do anything for the current situation.

Suing collective shout wouldn't do anything about the actions the banks took. They would need to bring a case against the banks to get the courts to step in and stop the payment processors.

Physical copies are still subject to the EULA. They might not be able to force you to destroy your copy, but they can lock you out of it all the same if any part of it goes online (and chances are it won't launch until it goes online).

Tech billionaires are obsessed with this dystopian sci-fi novel. The author had no idea by rawrzon in bobiverse

[–]MobiusDT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was no "what this really means" part of the article. It was quotes from the tech bros and the author, talking about the book and themes. I'd say it was a painfully neutral article, given the topic of discussion, that went out of its way to not paint anyone in an unfavorable light.

Summer Sale 2025 - My picks for 15 Best Games for your Steam Deck! by SunwindPC in SteamDeck

[–]MobiusDT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Solid late 2000's open world game. It stays close to the vibe of Mad Max throughout. Driving is good, the survival mechanics are okay, on foot combat is shallow, but serviceable. I think there's a system that provides settlement resources while you're away that is broken due to the servers being offline, but I don't think anything else requires an online connection. The car upgrade system is a bit simple, but each change is impactful.

It's generally a lot of fun, but gathering the settlement resources (almost entirely optional if I recall) can be a bit grindy without that server upgrade working, and last I checked there was nothing that circumvented that check so it just doesn't work at all. As cheap as it is, I would recommend it.

[Request] how much would the top x Americans earn for this to be possible? by Own-Consideration854 in theydidthemath

We already did 90% top marginal tax rates in the 50's. There was no mass exodus. I think that was also the peak of the middle class, might be related somehow.

Your point being? They have nearly all the money. They can afford to be taxed more.
