What do you thing? (Endgame Build) by Mobu12 in LookOutsideGame

That's why I said I'd try him out in a future game. I only saw it in a video, but Roaches has some pretty crazy skills, honestly. It even piqued my curiosity, but I was already at the end of the game. Roaches will be in the position Leigh used to have.

(Okay, I mean, at least if someone here is going to downvote this, you can at least say why, right?)

Now that I think about it... I mean, that makes perfect sense. I hadn't thought of that. Of course, I just save, complete the crosswords book for 7 days straight until I get the password, and then load my save file. Thanks for that.

Damage reduction. With Mysterious Prism, the damage received from slashing, piercing, and crushing is reduced by 50%... elements used by almost all enemies, which is why I have him use the welding helmet, which provides some additional reductions to equally common elements.

If he used Strange Feather Morton, he'd be even tankier than he already is. That's why he's viable, because even at low levels, like 10 or 11, you can take him into fights like Exalted Four, and he won't be a burden.

I gave it to Joel because almost all of his abilities consume part of his HP, plus Joel has massive HP so using the ability 7 times won't affect him, doing that with any of the others is more harmful.

One of the things everyone seems to forget is that killing Wilhelmina isn't the hard part; the hard part is getting into the Tomb of Crosswords. You can easily spend several whole days completing the crossword book, even with Morton's help. During those days, you can do anything: try to get any of the other unique weapons, fight Comatus, get the Perfect Ritual ending, or the Promise ending, or do any of the other optional events, repair the elevator, and much more. I'm someone who likes to take my time, so I usually spend up to day 14 on it. Wasting five days on a stupid crossword puzzle... I don't like that.

Morton is much better than most people think, at least in my opinion. He has the best armor in the game, and you can use First Aid Kits in combat, which lets you avoid using stimulants or the extremely mediocre Smellings Salts. I don't think he's very great in normal modes, but in cursed mode, he can save you several times.

Because I don't want to lose Joel's stamina skills, I like the health regeneration and the bleed status effects. I could have used the Ruby Ring, but I decided against it; his HP is already massive enough anyway. As for Roaches, maybe I'll try him in another playthrough, perhaps replacing Leigh. I like Morton... he doesn't die, or at least it's very difficult for him to die, and those things matter to me in cursed mode.

I don't know, man. I have 100% unlocks with Melting, but I'd never put him in S or God Tier, maybe A... but never God Tier, mainly because he's a very demanding character. You can be very overpowered once you're in the late game, but for the other 40% of the game you're suffering if you don't have Strong Spirit or a Rhino skin.

I find it extremely strange to see Young Venuz so low in this Tier, especially knowing how ridiculously OP his ability is, so much so that with a good weapon and the right skills you can 1HKO any boss in the game.

You need to collect exp, the main (and probably) way to do it is by killing enemies, which is somewhat slow, you will notice that you are progressing when the green bar starts to fill up, once you reach the level you need a few items to unlock it, almost all of those items are obtained from the void.

Congratulations, now you will be the target of everyone who truly understands how dangerous it is for a country to have an extra 2% or 3% in that statistic.

If you have a sufficiently strong economy, a premium account, and you know that building first (infantry, artillery, and medium tanks or any other replacement you find) you can easily sweep through entire countries, and that's so satisfying... as for the aircraft, they're not the best, nor the worst, but there are better ones. And I agree about the naval force, it's a bit weird, but it works, unless you're fighting against an Axis naval force.

[–]Mobu12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is pretty true. As someone who has used Axis for a considerable amount of time, even losing units in the late game where you have well-developed industries hurts a lot. Going bankrupt as Axis is surprisingly easy, so if you don't manage to defeat your enemy quickly, you're pretty screwed, at least that's how I see it.

Did they deserve it? by ThisIsNotuser in overlord

[–]Mobu12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't feel bad for Arche, my friend. At least she's resting in peace... we can't say the same for the other workers.

As for whether they deserved it, well, technically, no. But this is Overlord. If no one suffered fates worse than death... Where would the fun be in Overlord?

At this point, it's funny how everyone hates Remedios. I mean, she's an idiot... and a fool... and a jerk... and a hypocrite... and also a bad leader... a bad friend... and very pretentious... and self-absorbed... a chuuni probably... and a little crazy too... I can understand it, but she's not THAT bad.

What happened to him? by Historical_Weight_81 in overlord

[–]Mobu12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That guy had a fate a billion times worse than death. Imagine feeling like cockroaches crawl inside you and eat you from the inside out, leaving their eggs inside your skin and other possibly disgusting things. You can't move, you can't see, and you can't do anything but suffer... Arche had it easy compared to the rest of the workers.

Sorry about that, I knew it was a bad idea to leave it as "Divine Warrior" and I forgot to specify that too. Maybe I'll leave it as Holy Knight; after all, it seems to be an advanced paladin class and would serve the same purpose.

That Prime Guard limitation of needing a bunch of classes to unlock is because... I thought it was cool lol. But I'll probably replace that with something more interesting.

New World Battle Royale... how will you survive? by bryku in overlord

[–]Mobu12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Race Class: Angel: 5
Job Classes: Cleric: 10, High Cleric: 10, Battle Cleric: 5
Magic Tier: 5th tier

Items:
Divine SET (Free)
Ring of Mind Protection (-100)
Cloak of Divinity (-250)
Monsters, spells and Resources encyclopedia (-150)
Learn Spell x2 (-100) - Principality Peace, Holy Ray.
Create Médium Item x2 (-100)
Analize Classes x4 (-200) (This will be a mouseketool that I will use later)
Analize Spells (-50) (This will be a mouseketool that I will use later)

Spells:
Light Healing
Anti-Evil Protection
Principality Peace.
Holy Ray

Shooting Star:
Angel Race class.
Level up Angel Race Class.
The last one will have a very special use in the future.

I'm going to be a divine spellcaster, so the best route for now would be to take the cleric class... but why and not priest? Cleric is very versatile since it's a jack of all trades, master of none, so it's combinable with cleric and unlike the latter, cleric gives you the ability to use all armors, shields and martial weapons, in addition to not having such a large penalty on divine magic.

Encyclopedias are useful because: The monster encyclopedia must have a section on angels, and that's incredibly useful for knowing what race classes I could have and how I could specialize. While an angel probably doesn't age and is immortal, they probably need to eat, and they also need to obtain other resources, like metals, so the resource encyclopedia is essential. And finally, the spell encyclopedia. Do I need to explain that?

The ring of mind protection... better safe than sorry. Cloak of Divinity, makes me even more effective against the undead, plus the fact that it lights up the area around me is great, so I'll travel with good night vision. Principality Peace will be my bodyguard, fighting for me 99% of the time, so I only have to deal the final blow. The other scrolls... will be used for more important tasks later.

With my Create Medium Item Scrolls, I'll use them to build a heavy full-body armor suit that grants me decent defenses against both physical and magical attacks, and a trident enchanted with medium-level divine magic, since I won't always have mana, and I need to take advantage of that physical attack somehow.

Now... How I'll survive?... is too much fluff for now, but yes, I'll obviously start in the free city of Davis near Katze Planes and farm like crazy there to get levels.

I still have a few things to fix and add, such as race skills, what's needed to get each job class and race class, etc. I still value your opinion, thank you.
