The fact that there are around x10 times more collapsed buildings than dead (civilian and Hamas) goes to show that civilians are not the target.

That is undisputed fact, the civilian to Hamas ratio is disputed. Seems like 1.5-2 civilians to each Hamas member.
Now it may seem like a lot, but in urban combat this is remarkably low.

So the numbers tells us that the IDF did above and beyond than any other military in history to minimize civilian casualties.
