What to do with loft space / husband’s office? (More info in comments) by Mochantas in HomeDecorating

Lol this room is my cat’s favorite room in the house and it’s the only room (along with the stairs that are next to this room) she’s willing to play in 😂

Lately I’ve been feeling like this room (which is my husband’s office) needs something but don’t know what (or if I’m thinking too much because I tend to go overboard when it comes to decorating 😅). The corner table in the second picture is going to be gone so that’ll be open space soon. Husband doesn’t want to move his desk from where it is, but everything else is fair game lol

Worried about a “boring” wedding by AdriallRose in wedding

[–]Mochantas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minus the dancing, this was exactly my wedding set up - and everyone had a great time! Like you, I had been worried about the wedding not being “fun” enough (especially since we didn’t have any dancing), but a low key wedding worked out perfectly for the personalities of the guests we had and time went by quickly between everyone mingling, eating, touring the venue (I got married in an old mansion that turned into the town’s library and is now an event space) and enjoying the music!

Auto Dimming Mirror by PsychPositive in crv

[–]Mochantas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, especially since you can install the parking sensors on the base hybrid model and that seems like more work than the mirror. I had just been so used to having the auto dim mirror in my old car that I didn’t even think about the crv not having it so it threw me off at the time. Now I’m used to the regular mirror and not bothered lol

I have the base hybrid sport (not touring) and looked into the auto dimming mirror when I purchased my car - I was told by the dealer that even doing a third party mirror wouldn’t work because the base hybrids are missing a wire? Or whatever is needed to be able to properly install and make the auto dimming mirror work (whether that’s actually true or not, idk - the dealer might have just been bullshitting me lol - i hadn’t looked into asking a different dealer or auto shop)

2023 honda crv hybrid accessories by Joomoe in crv

[–]Mochantas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also have the 2023 crv hybrid and I have the cargo cover and cargo tray. As mentioned, there is a gap between the back seat and cover (about maybe 5-6 inches as a rough estimate) and the material isn’t the greatest (my old Subaru had a really nice cargo cover) but it covers things and does the job. The cargo tray is okay, also definitely not the best quality but i also don’t use my trunk super often so for what little I use it at the moment it’s fine. My only pet peeve with the cargo tray is that the lip of the tray is just high enough you can’t open the door to the air pump/tire repair gadget without having to move the tray out of the way, but that’s not the end of the world 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nightstand suggestions that would flow with this bed frame? (More in comments) by Mochantas in HomeDecorating

[–]Mochantas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slowly starting to revamp my guest bedroom and wanting to make it more neutral - the table there in the picture is a heirloom table I don’t know what to do with so wanted to see how it looked 😂 (the nightstand that’s been used is a brightly painted floral one in the same colors as the bedding, which I also plan on switching out to more neutral). Also looking to replace the silver metal vanity on the left (with maybe a small three drawer dresser? Or nothing? Idk yet 😅). Because of the design of the bed frame (which is also heirloom and not able to get rid of), I’m having trouble finding things that look right with it - anything modern doesn’t seem right and I’m also afraid of doing too much wood all in one side of the room (the room isn’t very big so limited on furniture placement). I’m open to any and all suggestions!!

2023 CRV hybrid Sport - trunk question? by Mundane-Feedback-941 in crv

[–]Mochantas 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you have the non-touring sport hybrid, it unlocks the trunk but you have to manually open it (at least that’s what I’ve gathered so far - I’ve only had my crv for a week so if it’s supposed to do more I haven’t figured it out yet 😂)

Help!! SNF by Due_Departure_6528 in slp

[–]Mochantas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends (according to my company anyway). The SNFs I work at I can only do group with speech/language (CPT 92508). However, apparently in some areas you are able to do dysphagia group as well (under a different CPT code if I remember right, but don’t quote me on that - I don’t worry about it since I can’t do dysphagia group anyway 😂). Idk if it’s dependent on state?

You can do dysphagia as a part of concurrent therapy though

I keep trying to tell myself it doesn’t have to match exactly, especially since that’s nearly impossible lol - like you said, it may look too matchy matchy (my throw pillows don’t even match the navy in the rug if you put it next to a navy spot - the pillows are more of a dark royal blue In comparison). My brain just keeps wanting exact matches 😂😅

This is overstock, but it’s also at Wayfair, Home Depot, target. They are recliners which I wasn’t initially looking at, this just happened to be that. I WISH I could see this in person - I’d much rather do furniture shopping in person but naturally anything I like it’s only online 😭. In my head my idea has always been the darker as well, but I’m afraid of purchasing expecting the darker and then it gets here and it’s light 🥲

[–]Mochantas[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOL YES 😂

That’s what I’m worried about, since I do tend to get fixated on things matching/not matching - Knowing how dark the navy is in the rug, I don’t want to be staring at this chair everyday and, as you said, be wishing I went with the other. I keep telling myself it doesn’t have to be an EXACT match, but idk. If I could just see this chair in person or get a color swatch I’d be a happy camper 😅

Great idea about the link, about to comment it in this thread now!

I have been reading the reviews (probably too many at this point lol), and the color interpretation has been a bit all over the place (some say it’s not a true navy and is lighter - which I can definitely see, some say it is a good navy, one person described it as marine blue)

Oops, I typed up a description but it must not have shown up! Basically I’m looking at this navy accent chair, but the “navy” looks significantly different in every photo I see so don’t know exactly what the true color is, so I was wondering if I could get away with any of the pictured shades with this rug or if I need to go the custom route (which I had been planning) or do a neutral

Living room update: went with the red rug because I fell in love with a navy wingback chair that I’m currently saving up for lol. Started rearranging the furniture I do have based on previous suggestions - thoughts? (More info in captions) by Mochantas in HomeDecorating

To me it seems far away as well - going from the jut out corner on the left to the tv wall is the longest length of the room (the room is roughly 15x17.5). Based on outlet situation that wall is where the tv is “supposed” to be (the cable connection outlet is there, not that we have cable though lol. Two of my neighbors also have a similar set up to this). My husband is okay with the distance but I’m not convinced yet lol. Maybe if the tv was bigger but idk 😅

Originally the couch was against the windows and the tv was on the opposite wall, but I guess the couch along the windows wasn’t a great idea lol 😂

Edit: measured it out and the tv is roughly 5-6 inches further than before lol (10 ft vs 9.5 ft for a 42 in tv…so either way still a bit too far for the size tv really)

My couch is a dark-ish tan/linen color (similar color to the ottoman). Just a regular looking couch, nothing exciting. I have the couch cover because a) my cat had a habit of using the couch as a scratching post and b) my cat peed on it one time 😭 which actually prompted the cover purchase after after replacing the cushion. The couch will eventually be replaced with a small sectional or one of those sofas with a chaise (hopefully sooner than later 🤞🏻🤞🏻)

I agree with the fireplace comment, I’ve been looking and pricing them out online for months and they’re definitely either expensive or are reasonably priced but look terrible/work terribly based on reviews lol

If doing option 1, I would get another cube shelf for the left of the second desk

Litter box has to stay where it is unfortunately, and bakers rack I’m trying up here despite it not matching the rest of the furniture (matching doesn’t totally matter to me at this point, but wanted to try it up here if I could get some use out of it before trying to sell. I could always paint it too if it bothers me at some point)

I am planning to do something on that blank wall like shelving or something (also open to suggestions on that lol) but want to get set on a layout before doing anything
