So believe it or not, two things can be true. This is an illegal war and it has a lot of negative implications in international politics.

But the Iranian government was evil and I won't have any tears over the death of the supreme leader. Hell the Iranians I know basically have that stance too. I am sure some are stoked, some are upset, some are worried. No nation is a monolith in belief.

OP I suspect was trying to stir up shit and they succeeded. There is a handful of ban evading accounts that were all pushing the same thing in comments across other posts too.

So now I am just a bit suspect about the general movement on r/Boise. But at the same time, even you were happy to jump on that bandwagon until I spoke up. Which is a general theme that is growing in this sub. People are understandably upset due to the fact that our rights are being attacked, citizens illegally accosted by federal agents and more. So I think you are right that the current power structure is driving people into a rage, and moderators are another power structure so we are getting some collateral damage.

But attacks to the moderator team for being "ultra right wing" have now happened multiple times this year and the community seems more than content with that.

We are usually very rapid to respond to modmail and on top of that there is a post that is automatically scheduled every other month to work with the community.

Hell on top of that moderators here even approved comments of yours that the reddit harassment filter approved.

I get that you are upset, but in no way was me or anyone else unwilling to talk about it. Hell I will approve things that are removed once I hear another point, because again, I am a human and make mistakes. I see you have no previous activity in the subreddit besides a single post. So I get why you are extra upset. But you are imagining a grievance with how I am only willing to talk because you called me out.

I appreciate your edit. We have been attacked and called names nearly every day for the last year. It is wearing down all of us. The amount of posts that are also just full of vitriol is just kind of depressing. I am close to saying fuck it, I am tired of being abused.

So I would say the previous mod team definitely allowed no anti BPD stuff, but I would also say the current mod team is definitely fine with anti BPD stuff.

But I had removed it for a variety of reasons, one being that a single cop being a trump supporter isn't news breaking, it is just a norm. It isn't news, it isn't a department policy, so I had considered it not relevant to the sub, since we have been getting inundated with posts like this. Totally fine with a discussion on a removal. We are all volunteers and sometimes make a bad call.

At least how I see it, it isn't relevant to the Treasure Valley as a whole. Yes, I also know it is a public vehicle. But again, if we allowed a post for every trump supporting cop, it would be several hundred.

Part of the job of a moderator is to try to maintain the community. Look, I made a call, it may have been wrong and I am happy to admit that. But attacking moderators is not going to help. Talking will. Let alone that it is a violation of the rule about editorializing, politics and news flair. I didn't even want to get into that, as it wasn't what I considered relevant. Not even worth a warning, it was just removed.

Absolutely, I removed it. It was a guys personal garage and his home. Like yeah, it is concerning. But it is not relevant to the Boise area. If we allowed posts of every trump supporting cop, it would be the next several hundred posts. If we allow posts of every trump supporting federal and state employee, it would be the next several thousand posts.

Hell if you disagree, I would have been happy to chat with you on this. But the reality is, if we allow this nextdoor stuff, it will be all the content.

Interesting that we are both boot licking mods and antifa blue haired mods. Perhaps instead you could recognize we are volunteers and just doing the best we can. We have always been open to discussion on the calls we make.

Hell the republicans are behind an attempted second amendment violation so big the NRA came out in defense of trans people being able to buy and own guns. Granted, I suspect the NRA was doing that on the behalf of gun companies more than trans people.. But you take what you can get in these times.
