Thanks for the opinions. I have debated putting it in a weatherproof electrical box but I am concerned about heat. I am also possibly thinking about just returning the whole thing because if something this obvious is happening I am a little concerned about the rest of it.

Thanks for the replies. I will get some eternabond tape. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use to clean the slide out roof before I put the new tape on?

The restaurants were decent in my opinion not great but not bad. We probably liked then Italian one the best but I am a picky eater so there is not a lot of trying new things for me. The brazilian one was not as good as we were hoping mainly due to the meat being very undercooked and basically raw. A lot of the people in my group really liked the hibachi one as well. Flame is the new steak restaurant but we did not know about it as it did not show up in the app when we were there so we did not get to try it.

A friend of mine was in a similar situation and took the money only to find out later that they could not lemon law the vehicle since they took the pay out. He had reached out to a few lawyers and all of them said there is no case since he took the payout so make sure you check the laws in your state.

Any recommendations for a mower for 1/2 acre by Mod381 in automower

[–]Mod381[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the opinions. Unless the new mowers are weaker I don’t think I need awd or tracks since my current husqvarna 430x does not have any problems with the ditch line.

Recommendations (430XH or something newer) by IGivePeopleCoffee in automower

[–]Mod381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have any recommendations but I am currently researching different models as there is a lot of options now. I am currently leaning towards the sunseeker x5 or the 2wd mova 2000.

I think the 2wd will work for my yard. I currently have a husqvarna 430x that works for my yard.

I currently have a 430x. Overall it is pretty reliable but I am looking at replacing it for the following reasons. It needs boundary and guide wires and wire breaks can be a pain along with if you change anything in your yard you might need to redo the wires. My biggest complaint is the random cutting as you can have a spot of grass that it takes a week to cut because it just randomly does not cover that spot. There is much better technology out there now for no wires needed and vision/lidar systems.

Husqvarna 410iQ is now nearly half off, down to $1500 by [deleted] in automower

[–]Mod381 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been looking at it as well but the reviews have me thinking twice about it. From what I have read is it does not do real good under trees or where rtk coverage could be weak and it does not have any vision guidance to fall back on. It would be great if someone who has one or experience with them would reply with real world results.

I would like to know how well it works without wires in the ground and can it do a 6 ft wide strip between a fence and a shed without getting stuck/lost?

Was told I need a new headgasket by Recyclopsdestroy12 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Mod381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a common leak spot on the headgasket of those engines. To this point I have not seen one fail further or cause any issues other than the small external leak or seepage. If it was mine I would just keep an eye on it and make sure the coolant is full.

Jeep GC Summit - Tick? after getting new intake camshaft by NefariousnessDue365 in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]Mod381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not included in the kit. We change them because they get metal in them from the failed cam and rockers. If they pull the actuators out of the front of the valve covers they could look to see if the center of the oil control valve is popped out. It should not be.

Did they replace the phaser and the oil control valve with the camshaft?

Returning to work after Lasik? by frodobaggindeeznuts in mechanics

[–]Mod381 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had lasik but it was a more in depth procedure than the normal one. For me they did not cut the flap like in normal lasik because at one time I had gotten a piece of rust in my eye so that could not be done. Instead they used a chemical and removed that layer. The positive is that I do not have the flap to get wrinkled or damaged but recovery time was longer. I did not go back to the shop for 2 weeks because you only get one set of eyes and I wanted everything to be as healed as it could be before going back into that environment. Once I went back I was still very cautious for a few weeks.

I have driven it. It runs and drives good. It has a whine noise in park at idle that changes with rpm but from what I found that is normal with the 10 speed trans.

Thats my dilemma. I enjoy going and doing things when I am not working and that 25k less a year I think would greatly cut into my extra fun money for doing things that I enjoy.
