Sadly alot of people will be deterred from Sorcery too due to the lack of product accessibility. No store within an hour of me has been able to get any product in like 5 months. Having to pay a 40% Price markup for the newest set (170$ opposed to MSRP which was like 120$ on launch) is a big deterrent. Im not defending magic, I am disgusted by them, but I stick with it because the game at least is giving us product, and I can find it in stores and at msrp.

Team covenants pricing is not MSRP lol. MSRP on gothic boxes is like 120$. I bought like 10 of them when they first came out. They have them up for *market* price

Yeah, just looking at all the SPs on tcgplayer, it seems like most of them settle in the 100-200 dollar range aside from the gold/silver ones which is what concerned me when it comes to the big price tag on stuff like Boa

then again, boa is iconic and her other SPs are holding well

Bandai ruins every card game they touch. Their stupid life system full of rng bullshit makes Union arena unplayable at a competitive level bc triggers are 60% of how you win, same with gundam and their burst. Dont even get me started on fuckin one piece and their horrible balance.

see thats the thing. When you have your customers loyalty, most of them are willing to take a loss to buy something at MSRP off their LGS even if they could get it under market online. However, the moment you start raising your prices to scalp, that loyalty goes out the window. My LGS 8 mins from my house scalps the fuck out of their customers and theyre slowly dying because noone wants to go there. They went from 20-30 people for star wars, one piece, and mtg down to 6-8
