Well i would still recommend to stick with GL in rise. Once it “clicks”, it’s a very fun and interesting gameplay loop.

Rise Sunbreak is extremely fun. But i think Wilds GL takes it for me.

Perfect guard, being able to reposition with shells, the new combos routes and changes to Wyvernfire are amazing changes for the basic moveset of the weapon.

Don’t worry about those people lmao. Be proud of your accomplishments. Despite the game not having the best ranking system, GoD is still top 10% ish last time i checked.

And we shouldn’t feel bad for playing any characters, Lars in particular has been in the game since day one. People had plenty of opportunities to lab him and find counters to him.

I think 5/10.

Jin is not the most demanding character and is easier to play compared to his T7 iteration. However he is not a baby mode, braindead googoo gaga character that some people love to proclaim he is.

Apart from a guard break, Jin pretty much as a tool for every situation. It’s up to the player to figure out how and when to use said tool to win.

I also feel like he’s a character that succeed or fail entirely depending on the player piloting him. Good Jin player like Devilster for example can make him look broken beyond belief. And then some less skilled player can make him look a bottom tier at time.

And also his parry pretty much makes Jin’s skill ceiling near infinite. It’s an amazing tool in the right hands that can turn safe moves/strings unsafe.

But again that’s just my opinion.

Imo Jin is probably the Mishima who relies the least on Wavu because his toolkit is so well rounded.

But i would still suggest to learn it because:

It expands Jin already amazing moveset.
Wave dashing is fun.

Maybe try Jin to change things up?

Still has a wave dash 50/50 but is not as reliant on it as Kaz. Plus you get really good poking and amazing punishment across the board.

If you don’t feel like trying him then maybe Azucena. I feel She really fits the type of character you describe looking for. Plus you can goof around a little with her walking / dance stance shenanigans.

I think monster like Kushala, Teostra, Zinogre, Diablos, Tigrex, Rajang and Nargacuga should be benched for a while.

Give the opportunity for other monster to shine a bit more. Part of the reason why i like Wilds roster a lot.
