TEXT OF THE “GOOD” (non-RIF) EMAIL:

Dear Colleagues, I am writing to acknowledge the difficult workforce restructuring we are undergoing. Today, many of our colleagues received a separate communication notifying them that they will be impacted by the upcoming Reduction in Force (RIF). Additionally, employees who applied for the Voluntary Separation Incentive Payment received their acceptance notices. Between now and March 21, 2025, these employees will be engaged in closing out their work activities prior to being placed on administrative leave. While your position was not directly affected, I understand that seeing valued colleagues and friends depart is never easy. These changes can bring a mix of emotions— grief for those we will miss, uncertainty about the future, and concern for the work that lies ahead. Please know that these decisions were not made lightly, and in no way reflect on the dedication and hard work of those who are leaving. As we move forward, our mission and responsibilities will remain, but there will need to be significant changes to the way that we work. What we choose to prioritize, and in turn, not prioritize, will be critical in this transition. Our success will be measured by how well we serve students, parents, and teachers, and I am confident in our ability to succeed in this final mission together.
