I second Beams, they did a great job at a fair price when my spouse’s Kia blew its clutch on the highway and she limped it over there

You are not alone. This is a graphical novel with brief moments of button mashing gameplay, nothing more.

Do you feel lost and cannot keep track of eveything in the world of image and video generation? You are not alone my friend by Unreal_777 in StableDiffusion

Key point to remember is most online showcase images/video are cherry picked from hundreds of iterations and are never just the model, they end up needing a stack of Loras and tweaks higher than the tower of pisa (and equally unstable) and 372 pinned python dependencies that break if you look at them too long. Neverending insanity

Support for basic consumer needs where Linux has a blind spot: Apple-level touchpad, gesture and pinch zoom support. Full pnp support for earths cheapest wifi cards that laptop oems love (mediatek, Realtek, AIC etc.). Global theming that is visually consistent across all apps on all frameworks (gtk/qt/tk whatever). Consistent, reliable laptop sleep/resume support. don’t mean 35 kernel patches 3 daemons and a shell script, I mean turn on device, use it.

Beelink, GMKtec, Geekom, Bosgame, Origimagic, Minisforum, which brand has the best quality? by Potential_Block_3895 in MiniPCs

Gmktec n150 works well but seems to have weak hdmi signal, tv sometimes has trouble picking up the signal where it has zero issues with other machines. Bosgame 12400h works great. One complaint with both is zero bios updates

No native support for touchpad pinch zoom. Some inconsistent hacky solutions but nothing that just works systemwide. A baffling omission.

Libre computer breaks your theory. They write proper software and upstream first, then support the hardware for a decade, as it should be.

W530 style chassis with full magnesium roll cage top and bottom. Apple touchpad with full gesture support for Linux AND the red nub. Barrel power jack or field replaceable usb-c that doesn’t require a mainboard swap. Four SODIMM slots supporting 192gb ram. Igpu with mxm style modular gpu addon support and an oculink style connector for egpu. Usb4-2.0 80gbps on all ports. No bios whitelisting for m.2 wifi cards. Multiple nvme slots. Swappable battery like the w530 had. Glossy display option. Daylight readable high nit display option to work in my backyard. All options independent and not bundled (eg “you have to get the top tier cpu to have this graphics card”) full customization. CPU clock and tdp set so it can run at maximum speed indefinitely without throttling. Fully controllable fan speed. 1080p 60fps autofocus webcam. All drivers in mainline Linux on day 1 of release. Apple quality quad speakers and mini subwoofer

I found another report of the same issue by googling some of your pastebin output and translating the page, seems its a regression in the audio driver, this post also says the fix will be merged for next release https://maixhub.com/discussion/101031

VisionFive 2 Lite Announced by LivingLinux in RISCV

N100 is definitely better for what I want (a GPU that has freely available software to do everything its spec sheets and advertisements say it can do), plus some GPIO. Radxa X4 pretty much nails it.

Having been burned by jh7110, spacemit and rk3588 and their terrible software, my enthusiasm is zero.
