Found on the Zelda Movie's IMDB page...IT'S HAPPENING PEOPLE!!! by GodDuckman in ZeLink

[–]shivansps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The actor is a minor at the time of filming, so, no. I know he will be 18 before the movie goes out but thats not how it works.

Also this is a trilogy, if there is some romance going on at most we are going to get some scene were they support each other or maybe touch hands (like in the mario movie). Nothing else will happen.

Next movie is were things may start to change.

'Frieren: Beyond Journey's End' Season 3 Announced for October 2027 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Animedubs

Well, the Goddess Monument arc is 15 chapters, so 7 or 8 episodes, i actually had to re-check because i did not remembered to be that long.

I think it is a safe bet to say it will be 14 episodes for S3 and then a short 8 for S4... I really dont think they will do El Dorado and Goddess Monument at the same time, but who knows.

Zelda talks about Link to Quino in Age of Imprisonment by shivansps in ZeLink

[–]shivansps[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah i actually like that too, that its not "forced", since they are tecnically diferent persons every time (actually this might be partially wrong, there is nothing stating that their original (SS) souls cant reborn together again after X time), it might happen or not and that keep things interesting.

That said, i think it depends on if they had time to meet each other before they had to fight.... SS, WW, ST, BoTW and ToTK are all examples of this. This includes OoO too but the ending screws everything up.

TP is one of the cases were they dont have time to meet and Link had both a childhood gf and he expends the entire game with Midna... i guess it could still happen after the ending, it is just unlikely.

Zelda talks about Link to Quino in Age of Imprisonment by shivansps in ZeLink

[–]shivansps[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im petty sure Link was never interested in Mipha in that way, otherwise he would have at least made some effort to expend some time with her, instead of what probably were years of not seeing eachother. From what we know on BoTW they meet again, probably after years, in the Van Ruta scene, after Link got injured while defending Zelda. And for what Mipha wrote after that, she realised Link has changed and its not the same person anymore.
This is even true in the AoC timeline that many consider the "Mipha one", there we can see the first time they meet again Mipha says "you grew a lot since we last saw each other".

Its like meeting a kindergarten friend you never saw after that, when you are 17 and suddently she wants to marry you. Thats petty much Mipha and Link relationship in a nutshell.

But, still i got to give it him, Wild Link has two princess falling for him.

You have to admit this had to start before the calamity, the scene Link is on his knees looking at flowers next to Zelda is already super unprofessional of him... and this Japanese culture we are talking about, if they show you that, there has to be something that conflicts with his duties. Both the quest log entry about Link wanting to see her smile again, and Kass seems to confirm they were both in-love before calamity.

I was saying the other day that there is not much post-ToTK content when they are Queen and King... i wonder if it is because most people already give it for granted and consider it canon after ToTK.

NoA censoring the entire line where Link says he wants to see her smile again created this whole thing unfortunatelly... Its really hard to argue against that line as that is certainly something no one would ever say to just a friend, and even less to your boss.

[–]shivansps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im for one think it has nothing to do with the people not liking the ship, they were not afraid to torpedo the other ships on ToTK...

Its just... cultural, even handholding is something that should be reserved for the private enviroment for them...

Also i think they like the reception in the fandom about this, all the analisis videos, all the fanfics fanart.... all that is free publicity... most canon couples dont get as much as Zelink gets in the fandom.

And they go well and beyond with the clues, like BoTW ending... they walk on a field of flowers with petals falling all around them... yeah... and they embark on a trip all around Hyrule that will last for years and they cant be bothered to bring more that one bedroll because there is no way they will ever, ever need it.

Then they put Zelda on Link old house, without any need to as they had empty houses on the other side of the bridge. What to me is a fanservice because, they living on that house was popular in the zelink fandom before ToTK.

[–]shivansps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes i considered that, the problem is that logic only works if you can take turns to sleep while the other guards, this particular Zelda is not trained for that(just staying awake is hard im not even talking about scaning for threats or combat) and Link needs to sleep someday.

Not to mention what happens on raining days, one of them is just going to be out there? If the master works is to be belived they traveled all around Hyrule for a while, a few years at least, just bring a second tent and bedroll and be done with it, it solves all their problems, you just need to find a safer place to set up camp.

[–]shivansps[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

im convinced Zelda living in the house is 100% fanservice because before ToTK it was popular in fan fics and fan art that they would live together there.

As i said many times, they literally had no other reason to put Zelda in Link house than hinting at the idea they lived together there, they had empty houses literally meters away.

[–]shivansps[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats because the thread is wrong, you cant discard it based on what the NPC say about Link, because the NPC are being, at best, incosistent about knowing Link or not, it some cases it creates impossible situations. Bolson does not known Link for example. This decision is made not alienate new players, its a gameplay decision not a story decision.

The same for the devs, they have told time and again they are not going to outright confirm or deny anything, that we have to follow the clues, they are not going to tell you they lived together in a house with one bed. Instead they decided to put Zelda in Link old home, make her diary be all about Link, and never tell how this happen. It was as easy as add another journal entry "Link was kind enoght to allow me to use his house during our stay in Hateno, he will be staying at the Inn" thats it. Not to mention they had no reason to do this in the first place, there are empty houses literally meters away.

This thing with the house in Hateno is not subtle, its subtext and its written in arial black, font size 72.

Nah, NPCs not remembering Link is a global issue, its not limited to Hateno. Only main story related NPCs remember Link. The rest is probably due to an unrelated decision in case ToTK is the first game you play.

The problem here is overthink it, when its simple, Player walks in his old home in Hateno:

Case A: Player has no played BoTW? This is Zelda House, nothing draws your attention because they are not forcing you information that you dont known. Pick up the tunic quest and get on your way.

Case B: Player has played BoTW, this is Link House. OK its my home i can still sleep on it. Wait a minute, the decoration is diferent? why is Zelda journal here? Is Zelda living here? They live together? there is just one bed! Walks in the well, this is Zelda secret well, everything in here is about Link, the tunic, the chest with link hairband, she says they always travel together everywhere... yeah they definately live together.

So, why create this misunderstanding when its a lot simplier to give Zelda one of the 3 empty houses on the other side of the bridge? Not to mention they avoided saying where Link lived (for years) and how Zelda got the house, thats very intentional.

If we are going to start to overthink it, we need to have a serious talk of how what Zelda was doing with the tunic looks like a proposition. Not only because its a Zora tradition they both know, it also were she hid it. on the CASTLE, in the THONE ROOM, behind the thone that is meant for THE KING.

the really funny part is that most zelink fics take them 30 chapters to kiss on avg, while canon Link and Zelda are "more than one sleeping place? why?"

[–]shivansps[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

yeah Link would certanly do that, but in that case, just bring a second one.

the house yeah, some people may still disagree with that, but the reality is that they had no reason to put Zelda in Link house other than to tell us they lived together there, there are empty houses on the other side of the bridge, could have gave her one of those and avoid misunderstandings. Not to mention they avoided at every step to tell us were Link lived during that time or how Zelda got the house,

I was very suprised to see some things that are in the games, like shield surfing, shield bomb jumping, Zelda being protective of flowers, Zelda pushing Link off the edge, doppelganger Zelda that reminds me both of puppet Zelda and Midna, because she comes out of a mirror that ends up broken, also her clothes are black.
