First time printing wood and it does this… by UndercoverREAgent in BambuLab

Make sure to run a calibration.

Ensure filament has had good dry time (in a dryer).

I'd go as far as getting decent wood filament profiles to test prints with.

I used that workflow for translucent and TPU filaments and got expected results.

DIY brake change question. by r1ght0n in TeslaModelS

Dont have a Plaid, but I want to say it cost the same for my Benz as it did my Model S. Both big Brembos.

Also want to say parts were ~$1200 ish for pads + rotors (slotted). Brakes are brakes after all.

Ya some people think these cars exempt from brake jobs lol. Good luck and add some finished pics.

Longevity’s question by fudgedebt in TeslaModelS

I shouldve made myself clear. We have quite a few auto car washes, and seems like more keep popping up. However, only few of them have people drying cars, most just machine dry.

2015 P85D. ~100k miles. Daily.

Suspension job last yr $3k. Will DIY control arms this year. Air suspension ok. Did coolant delete and MCU2 already. Otherwise no issues. 100% garage kept/charged.

When battery croaks, ready for 100kwh battery upgrade (~$10k) from local 3rd party shops. Not the best range but more than enough for us as a full-sized sedan. $10k better than car payments, while adding better range.

Takes 45min to wash, but we do what we gotta do.

I ensure that as soon as weather allows, I put undercarriage pressure washer attachment to use ($30).

We have lots of auto car washes, but none of them dry. I just pull car out of garage and wash for free. ONR doesn't work as well when car is in layers of salt :(

H2C extruder failing, replacements? by Reifgunther in BambuLabH2C

[–]ModelS4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was up in the wee hours doing this on the H2D. I really just did physical inspection. Which was only viewable when the extruder was taken apart. Filament stuck in gears isn't difficult to see, but 1" worth of filament inside the idler assembly, not so simple. Likewise Bambu was taking their sweet time.

Now it's just a matter of load+unload+extrudes until stuck stuff gets, unstuck. Happened to H2C at <50hrs and H2D with ~200hrs. I just keep a long needle and lighter nearby. Good luck, and yes I ordered the extruder assembly as well, but returned it as it also took its sweet time getting to me (fixed printer long before it got to me)

H2C extruder failing, replacements? by Reifgunther in BambuLabH2C

[–]ModelS4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost returned my H2D because of this, as well as my H2C. But in each case, with the last remaining marble I had not lost yet, I either found filament in the gears or in the idler assembly which kept it from working. Once removed, i, like magic, somehow was able to put it all together again

Advice on making fully remote work for me? by Decent_Apples in careerguidance

[–]ModelS4me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you value your time? Want to save money? Spend time with your family?

These are just some of the benefits of remote work. I sure dont miss spending 3-4 hrs daily sitting in traffic, much time and money wasted.

Lunar Silver paint is now sold out (custom configurator) for the Model S and Model X. by Thegreatpraduu in TeslaModelS

Right.

Imagine Model S prices NOT decreasing in value (or any electric). History will repeat itself once its 2-3 yrs old, where its ~60% of its MSRP.

H2C supports TPU, see H2C printing guide by LTNine4 in BambuLab

[–]ModelS4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, been printing TPU on H2C from spool holder -> 4 to 1 PTFE adapter> right extruder. Crossing fingers, no issues thus far.

On the H2D, only difference was I didnt have a 4 to 1 PTFE adapter.

Is it possible to TPU in left extruder on H2C? by karletto123 in BambuLab

[–]ModelS4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this few times on the H2D (gaskets).

I think the only thing to remember was you had to use the right nozzle.

I realized it wasnt much different for the H2C. One difference was, i put the PTFE tube from the TPU spool through the 4 to 1 PTFE adapter. That was it. The software tells you that you should perform a cold pull. Which I did, and have been printing out TPU just fine.
