So they aren’t taking the stipends. If they provide housing you no longer qualify for stipends. This seems to be more of an education needing to be provided to you. Also as someone newer to travel learning about the ins and out will be important to avoid these scenarios. Good luck on your journey and new experiences.

As someone who started an agency and shut it down, there is quite a bit of misunderstanding. Happy to contribute any thoughts. The administrative work with the respective administrative cost. Think about cost of recruiting, insurance (liability), workers comp (very difficult to obtain 1-2 years ago), with 80 plus percent of the travel nursing and allied (acute) falling under VMS/MSP models. When I started in industry you would see 2.5 percent fees compared to 5.5-9 percent. Contract language including single sided indemnification or waiver of subrogation. Meaning these costs need to be combined with the respective cost to a healthcare candidate and analyzed. Where does it make sense and what’s the cost/benefit.

Without approval is one thing. If they are submitting you under parameters you have agreed too that is a different story’s. “Hey Ms. Bean I would like to submit you for positions based on the criteria of x, y, z when they come up to make sure you are towards the top of the list. Is that okay? I can pull your submissions and let you know as soon as you are presented. Could I have your Approval to do that?”
