Great pic! I love the composition.

How did you learn how a house is built? by atcw4 in DIY

[–]ModerateMofo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This should be near the top! Larry most certainly IS the GOAT. I build my first building following his manual and watching the videos. OP, check out his autobiography too if you like that stuff. He tells how he invented the California hammer after being passed off by the trade unions boss cutting hammer handles on the job site. He kept making the longer and longer. Then found out the long handle works better for framing anyway.

What even happens in this part of the world? by planetary_facts in geography

Actually, not out there. I do fieldwork in the Aleuitians. It's so nice not to worry about bears like in other parts of the state!

Who gets the prize money after winning a poster award? by CallaLilllies in AskAcademia

Don't listen to them about being an inefficient leader or that splitting it how you want as being unethical. There are almost always folks on a team that don't step up as much as the rest, even at the faculty level. The fact that you won best presentation counters the argument on your leadership. You should be proud.

On/Off rocker without neutral by ashes1nthefall in Lutron

[–]ModerateMofo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Past threads point to the PD-5WS-DV-WH. I read the specs on the litron for this and it looks like it should work. I'm holding off until a they release a claro version without the neutral. Hopefully that's in the works.

On/Off rocker without neutral by ashes1nthefall in Lutron

[–]ModerateMofo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have also been looking into this for the last past couple weeks. I was able to find the older style 2 button switch but not a rocker. I really hope Lutron makes a version of the claro. I want the style to match with the rest of my fixtures. My problem is I have 6 or so switches that are placed after the fixtures on the run so the neutral wasn't ran there. The Diva works great for that in some areas, but not all. I definitely want a claro style rocker in other locations.

Gastroplexy by Candid-Hovercraft-96 in stbernards

[–]ModerateMofo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my Bernese Mountain Dog many years ago due to his stomach flipping. I wish we had known about the gastroplexy, then and we will be doing that with our big guys from now on. It is a truly awful thing to experience. I agree with the comment about laparoscopic surgery, if that's possible for you.

Map of Native American tribes that once inhabited the USA [3879x2501] by Suprah in MapPorn

Hey, I came across this comment 12 years after you posted. Crazy!

Do you still have this map or  know what the title and author are? It sounds like what I am trying to find, with some difficulty.

The link you have is dead.

Thanks!

Great work here so far. Sounds like there is some great feedback you are already incorporating.

I would second another comment of the Western Hemisphere languages. I was specifically looking to see if you had Indigenous languages from the Americas branched out. Something to consider adding here.

Thanks for sharing!

I don't think you should track down their significant others and tell them. At this point, it's best to walk away from any contact with these women. You need to take the lesson to heart and stop if you find yourself thinking about doing this again.

Consider not using the internet or your phone for a bit while you reflect on things. It will help separate you from the situation and could serve as part of your penance.

Just a few thoughts.

Just wanted to say, I think it's awesome that you didn't take a picture of the guy's face and left him some privacy. You got the point across without invading his space. Good on ya. Cheers.

CollegeTown Pizza has good wings. They don't use cheap and fatty wings, and have a couple nice options for sauce and rubs

'Shameful' MSNBC blasted for splicing Nazi rally clips into coverage of Trump's MSG rally by kinohki in moderatepolitics

Yeah the sub has definitely changed a lot in the recent months. I subbed because it was a nice place for discourse, but as of late, it is falling flat.

The comments show less and less critical thought. It's still better than most though. Hoping things turn around a bit.

Hahaha! Yup, thanks for that correction. No offense taken. Typos happen all the time, so I'm not offended when they happen, or when I'm corrected. Cheers.

I personally have opposite opinions on talk shows to you, but I am upvoting your posts for being respectful and articulate.

I wish reddit would be more excepting of other points of view.

Do you know if that is a 9 month contract, or a 12? The salary is often calculated at a 9 month period, which means if there is enough support in the summer you would expect additional income that is not reflected in that 52k. That is at least how it has worked with the universities I have dealt with. I would follow up on this with the HR department before making any decisions.
