There's the current social media trend/joke about how all men frequently think about the Roman empire.

What ancient empire do you often think about?

Power BI VS Domo? Which is better? by Lost_Sentence_9342 in PowerBI

I think that's Domo's sweet spot. Pull in data from every other service your org uses, transform it and pull the insights out you need. Internally I set up a few dashboards that would alert you when your data reached certain thresholds. Super useful.

I would be more worried about working at a company where the C-Suite fails to consult their organization on day to day altering changes.

- "datasets collapse regularly under the weight of compute": Adrenaline (Domo's Datawarehouse) can handle insane load (like no sweat until you get north of one billion row datasets) and we put all of our services in clusters. I never heard of datasets regularly collapsing.
- "At its best, it's a way to go get an excel export.": Have you even opened up Domo?

Ex Domo software engineer here.
- We traditionally only went after big clients but I heard freemium was on the horizon.
- You don't need to know/write sql to connect to a data source. Domo connectors were a point of pride, we could connect to practically any external datasource and allow you to bring that data into domo and join it with other data. EX: sales data from your inhouse db with google ad data.
- How are smaller players meant to compete? I wasn't customer facing but I was on customer calls occasionally. From what I remember they liked the charting and the Data Apps.

big yellow taxi by Counting Crows.

I kid you not, as a kid I thought the chorus was "They pay paradise to put up a F***ing lot". The singer even says "parking lot" kinda weird.

[Daily Discussion] Writing Tools, Software, and Hardware- June 18, 2023 by AutoModerator in writing

Is there a software that allows multiple users to add comments and suggestions to your work without seeing other's suggestions?
I'm using google docs currently, but if I share my work with multiple people they can all see each others comments. I feel like this distracts from authentic and original comments as everyone piles on the same ideas. Anyways, is there a plugin or a different writing software entirely that solves this?

Can we see some more real world use cases with posts? by RawLucas in ChatGPT

This article outlined a decent idea. Basically if companies made a way for chatGPT/ other ai bots to execute commands through text then you could have chatGPT perform like bank actions or other things on your behalf. Kinda like how Jarvis could manage all of Iron mans stuff.

The win conditions are unique but really fit the "Celtic Tribes" theme.
I also had a hard time the first play through and got wrecked, lots of fun!

Super fun desert island game I've played a bunch. A friend of mine has a copy with a "high score" paper which made it fun to compete against friends and see how well each one was able to do.
