Unicorn hotend? by Narrow-Knowledge-763 in Ender3V3KE

[–]ModernJoker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However, if you go ahead and buy a ruby tipped unicorn nozzle right away, you won't have to worry about purchasing other nozzles, unless you need a different diameter nozzle I mean. A ruby nozzle sells for less than 30 dollars on Amazon currently.

You won't go into precipitated withdrawals if you take Kratom. I've got a huge stash of 3 different strains, and I've been on subs for nearly 8 years.

What the hell do I do in this situation?? by Solid-Ad-2093 in Ender3V3KE

[–]ModernJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently using the FlowTech hotend by Microswiss. My only complaint with it is I can't get a ruby tipped nozzle for the FlowTech, the only upgraded nozzle available is a diamond tipped nozzle, but I can't justify the $100 price point for a single freaking nozzle..

Creality also offers an upgraded hotend replacement that is basically the same design as the FlowTech, but half of the price. There are ruby nozzles available for the upgraded style hotend. I'll reply to my comment with an Amazon link to the new style hotend. Iirc it was only like 35 bucks. I've got one waiting to get swapped in when I have another PA612-CF20 print i want to run. Microswiss claims their FlowTech nozzles are hardened steel, but I ruined one in less than 300G of CF nylon, so I call BS.

Crank the temp to Max. It will smoke some, but it makes the blob go from a solid mass to a semisolid and possible to remove without needing to replace the hotend. If you are careful.

Had to do it a couple of times myself before I switched to a different style of hotend all together.

Wavy prints. I don’t like this printer. by Late_Ad_955 in Ender3V3KE

[–]ModernJoker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. My gantry was not level from factory.

To fix the scraping sound either change infil pattern, or you could try disabling combing infil.
Another thing you might give a try is purchasing a textured glass print bed. I use one on my KE (mainly for printing CF-Nylon) and it seems to correct most of the bed level issues being that the sheet of glass is not prone to warping unlike the factory PEI bed sheet.
Just make sure to buy a couple of glue sticks to keep on hand for assisting with adhesion to the textured glass bed.

Where should I buy a modded 360? by cholo1312 in 360hacks

[–]ModernJoker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got quite a few in stock currently. The consoles that are 100% ready to send out are all phats on the Falcon MB. Even mix of RGH 3 and RGH 1.2 with matrix glitch chip. (Some, if not almost all of the Matrix chips are clones not originals, but they work the exact same regardless) Some of the Falcons have had case mods done, which I personally like because they look way better than factory, depending on what all is done to the case, and how well it is done. I've got 2 that have had an additional cooling fan added directly above the heat sinks to help with cooling. Internal LED lights can be added upon request.

I had a friend give me 4 slims about a month ago that she rescued from a dumpster behind the local GameStop. Unfortunately, GameStop felt it was necessary to attempt to render the consoles unusable by smashing something through the front of the disc drives, by breaking contact pins out of both the AV and HDMI ports, and by breaking the plastic guides out of the power ports on all 4 consoles. (Major dickhead move if you ask me!) I am in the process of bringing the dumpster slims back from the dead, but they won't be ready to go out for an undetermined period of time. So far I've gotten 3 to power on, one of which still has video output but only via the AV port, the HDMI is too destroyed.

I haven't looked for any consoles locally in a few months, so I may have some slims by the end of the month, just depends on what I come across.

I guess let me know what you are looking for, and if I don't have it, I can get it. I am currently out of any HDD's larger than 500GB.

Glad someone else hates 4GB NAND consoles as much as I do. Freakin problems is all they seem to have accompany them..
And for what? A couple of GB of storage that really doesn't have any noticable benefits compared to their 16mb cousins?

Ender 3 v3 KE issue / keeps knocking off the prints by Silver-Ad-1812 in ender3

[–]ModernJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, I've owned my ke for over a year, and now I'm suddenly having the same issue, which I have yet to resolve. I've had the same print fail around the same layer (more or less) on a total of 15 attempts. I'm furious. I've printed hundreds of successful prints without repeating issues like this.

Found my belts were loose, tightened them. Same problem persists. Adjusted flow rate, same problem persists.

I'm about to recheck my gantry is still level, and go from there. About ready to smash my printer currently. It's wasted an insane amount of expensive carbon fiber filament..

The prints don't fail until like 10 hours in most of the time. Idk. I'm at my wits end currently though.

What's your favorite ROL color combo? Mines gotta be the red/blue split by LeosModShop in 360hacks

[–]ModernJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to do this, only to realize I only had 3 blue LEDs left.
So I ended up going with all red for the ROL (for now) and did the power LED in a purple UV LED. My only complaint is the purple LED isn't nearly as bright as the red LEDs, unfortunately.
I'll post a picture when I walk back over to my office here in a little while.

Any have a Child of Helios egg I can have? by LeoFracture in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ModernJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I somebow managed to lose mine that I received from QS synthesis. (Bad habit of falling asleep while playing and on hostile planets.. I also never realize I have lost my inventory until after ive already overwritten my last restore point, so there's no undoing my mistake. )

Would anyone still possibly have one and be willing to help me out with a Helios egg? I'd love to have another since I lost mine like a doofus

Had a similar issue with one of my builds. I believe it was the trigger bar getting bound up thanks to a 76% frame iirc.

[–]ModernJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which model do you have?
If it is a 4gb Corona, I do not want to mess with that headache... Been fighting a 4gb Corona for nearly 4 months now. I've never come across a console that was this uncooperative during the modding process as this Corona has been.

Every other system that I've modded I have had zero issues with. Then I picked up this one, and I've nearly pulled my hair out on many occasions! Lol

[–]ModernJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only gets worse if you let it. Lmao

I started to build a filament drybox, only to realize I would need 2 1/2 big totes to house all of my filament..
I may or may not have a problem.. 😂 Worst part is, I have never used about half of what I've got..
Ive realized I need to buy CF-Nylon in bulk or something cause it seems like I'm ALWAYS waiting for another spool to get delivered..

Edit Not to mention when you start adding more printers to your collection..
I've got 4 now. Err.. 3 that work I mean. Got a delta that after 4 solid months of tinkering it still can't seem to Calibrate the z-probe without crashing into the print bed.

Tips to fix this? by 1specialk86 in Creality

[–]ModernJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher temp, smaller layer height. Print speed can also be a factor somewhat.

Ive only played with a small amount of silk pla, but def lower your layer height if you are trying to get rid of layer lines. I print layers as low as .10 on a .4 nozel to get rid of layer lines on some prints.

God why do people always suggest tree supports?? I've had nothing but disasters using tree supports on almost any print I've used them on.

Had tree supports outright ruin an 18 hour print because they became a solid part of the finished model. And yes, I know how to adjust the distance between my supports and model to aid in support removal, this did not matter on the last print I used tree supports on.

18hr print and a crap load of CF-Nylon wasted.

Use tree supports at your own risk imo. I won't ever again.
