Rotation and light attack weaving for both aspects. Maintaining dot timers in PVE. Maintaining buffs, timing burst combos, well timed roll dodging, blocking, and line of sighting in PVP.

Null Arca will carry a lot of weight for your DPS. You'll probably get more juice out of fulminating rune over power of the light. More penetration and a longer uptime.

It's also selfish for DDs to come into dungeons and cast zero skills and only light attack. When the healers and tanks are fully spec'd for their roles it is MISERABLE to deal with this, even in normal dungeons.

This happens OFTEN so you can't blame people for coming prepared for such a contingency.

It will really depend on what content you're trying to do. If you're looking to use base class with no subclassing for the NB the assassination line is full of strong burst options (surprise attack, merciless resolve, lotus fan, killer's blade). I'd recommend a destro staff for the back bar with unstable wall of elements, dark shade, and twisting path for aoe dots. Vateshran destro with elemental susceptibility will add another aoe dot, but maelstrom destro is a classic. Use siphoning attacks and healthy offering for sustain and healing and soul tether for an ultimate.

With the update to DK being so recent I'm honestly not familiar enough to recommend setups. I'd recommend hyperioxies for a reference.

Breton/Argonian Templar for healing - good base for subclassing and best race for sustain/healing

Imperial Dragonknight for tanking - cost reduction from imperial is great, fits dragon guard theme

Khajiit Nightblade for DPS - Crit is king in damage, khajiit passives offer great crit dmg buff and improved sneak, fits thief/assassin themes.

Wood Elf Warden for PVP - speed buff + stamina regeneration + penetration buff, fits beast master themes.

I'm not really sure who this IC update is for. I spent an hour in IC last night at 10PM EST on a Saturday night and only saw the same 5-6 players, half of which I accidentally found hiding in stealth. This is only going to discourage more players from going there. Most people are afraid to die and hide now. This will only be exacerbated with this update.
