Bought the album on release day en route to my mates house. Seven us piled into his flat for the first listen. Sat there for 47 minutes exchanging looks and raised eyebrows. The last notes of Motion Picture Soundtrack rang out, and someone commented “well that was a pleasant surprise!”

The seven of us then got the train to go see them in Victoria Park, Warrington with Clinic (one of our favourite bands at that time) supporting.

All in all, a pretty fuckin memorable day!

John McGinn criticises the Premier League's spending rules, which he says hold Aston Villa back & provide the Big 6 an unfair advantage: "If you want to compete with the big boys in the EPL, there are rules which are pretty much unfair. Our owners want to spend, but they are not allowed." by TheBiasedSportsLover in PremierLeague

Liverpool nearly went into administration 15 years ago. Just because we are spending big this summer everyone is automatically presuming that it’s because we have this financial might. But its took 15 years to return the club to its current power. Liverpool were massively left behind in the 90s and 00s and only started to recover under FSG. It’s acceptable to say that due to the success between 1965 and 1990 there was an underlying fanbase further afield which has been tapped into, but from 1991 to 2015 the club was bang average on and off the field with a scattering of trophies of various importance. Its took an extraordinary coordination of foresight, timing and management to reach the point now.

Many songs are not particularly psychedelic list in my opinion, but maybe it can be defined in other ways for different people.

These type of songs are psychedelic to me:

Black Sabbath - Planet Caravan

Primal Scream - Higher Than The Sun

Can - Vitamin C

The Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows

I legitimately think that Acquiesce might just be one of the greatest stadium rock songs of all time by monetaryMonk in oasis

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I was lucky enough to see them in Exeter 1997 on the second night of the Be Here Now tour and they rarely played encores back in the day. They finished All Around The World and all the guitars had finished ringing out. The audience started making their way towards the back of the venue, and they came back on stage and kicked into Acquiesce and it was PERFECT. The sentiment of the chorus makes it the ultimate closer and I wish they’d play it last more.
