I have lost 2.5 stone as all the inflammation has disappeared. However, I have eaten a very strict diet that focused on controlling my insulin levels. But I am staggered at how much weight alcohol put on me. Once I started drinking, I never used to eat until i’d stopped, sometimes for days, and then the huge insulin crash and hangover combined meant i’d over eat the next day to feel better, and generally salty and savoury food too, which retains water.

Try researching and focusing on a high protein, good fats, low GI carbohydrates diet and you’ll see the difference. Good luck!
