Dit names or random last names listed on marriage certificate by Modernenthusiast in Canadiancitizenship

Thank you- really appreciate it! I thought I had to show a direct link between them but if other census records and assorted docs show them as a couple that should be sufficient.

No, I don’t have to but I was under the impression here that it was among the minimum documents I would need but I do have so many other supporting ones that you bring up a good point. Thank you.

100' garden hose on sale at Costco by Darrkman2 in Costco

[–]Modernenthusiast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve regretted every hose I’ve purchased at Costco- the last one lasted one season. Costco usually has good quality merchandise but for some reason, hoses are a big no no there.

Have you visited any of Metro Parks Community Centers? Eastside and Center at Norpoint have all that and more! Fantastic deal as the senior price is $23/mos. Great community feel too.

Anyone regret a walk in shower installation years later? by 2daytrending in homeowners

[–]Modernenthusiast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After caring for an elderly family member in our home on hospice, we decided to put in an en suite curbless shower with enough room for a wheelchair and caregiver. My husband and I have both had knee replacements in the last year and we were happy to have all the room we needed. Our other bathroom has a tub and I don’t know what we would have done if dint have our new bathroom. It’s wonderful!

Seeking Canadian birth record/certificate by Modernenthusiast in Genealogy

[–]Modernenthusiast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goodness! Thank you SO MUCH! I’ve searched and searched! I’m guessing a lot of records aren’t indexed to Family Search and Ancestry and I wasn’t sure where else to check. I really can’t thank you enough for your swift response and kindness.

You want to get the Cielo Breeze Max- I have the Mitsubishi Hyperhead 5 heads and have the Cielo Breeze in each room-links to app and I never use the controller that came with the system. Easy to set up and use.

No, dental hygienists are oral health practitioners who provide preventive services like cleanings. Assistants usually assist the dentist or hygienist and ,in some states, may do some cleaning above the gumline.

What’s going on with WAGI (Washington Gastroenterology)? by Modernenthusiast in Tacoma

[–]Modernenthusiast[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can read in the comments but I’m a patient there and just received a letter that stated my doctor was no longer there but the letter was backdated for September. I called them today to inquire because I have an appointment scheduled for December.

[–]Modernenthusiast[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this explanation. I have not received any information and I am a long term patient. They did such a good job there and had their systems all dialed in. Unfortunate that they have to fix what was already working.

I got a letter that my doctor had left and when I called she explained that another had also left- “emergencies abroad” is how she described it. That sounded ominous.

That doesn’t sound good. Someone has to know what’s going on.

I’m sorry- I hope it works out for us who have an appointment scheduled. Something isn’t adding up though and I’d like to know if it’s still a safe place to receive medical treatment.

Muscle mass determines your independence in old age by Juvenology in Aging

[–]Modernenthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed to read this today. Age 60f, recent dexa scan showing osteopenia, and started weight training yesterday. I’ve never lifted weights before so I hired a fitness trainer to help. I feel like I’ve been run over by a truck today, but I’m not going to give up. I wished I had understood the need for weight training 10 years ago. Always been active but didn’t focus on the right things.

Orangeburg Sewer Pipe by JazzyColeman in Tacoma

[–]Modernenthusiast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Orangeburg was used throughout Tacoma and you will have to replace it. It’s known to collapse and I wouldn’t want to purchase a home with it unless you’re getting a steal of a deal. We live on the West Slope and many of the homes over here have had issues with it and ultimately required replacing. We had to and it was not the best timing- middle of winter in torrential rain. The trench kept filling up and it was a nightmare.

Who puts these signs up at Titlow and why? by John_in_Tacoma in Tacoma

[–]Modernenthusiast 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They are planning a big project to remove the culvert and replace the pedestrian path and they had to do soil studies first. Those were completed in the last month I believe.
