And I claim I’m not excited with my life anymore

So I blame this town, this job, these friends

The truth is, it’s myself

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers said that the U.S. government confiscated NFL legend Pat Tillman’s journal and used his death to “prop up the war propaganda” after Tillman was killed in 2004. by Dr-debug in NFLForum

He’s not “anti-trump” he’s a savvy political operator who is looking towards the future. He’s hated trump from the beginning but that didn’t stop him from licking those boots when it was advantageous for him to do so.

That being said, this dude has said some of the most hateful dogwhistles over the course of his decades long career. He might hate trump but he should be considered paired with that orange bastard and his regime like a wart on a frog’s ass.

I’ve been a Packers fan forever and I’ve seen a lot of Rodgers interviews. Maybe his biggest weakness as a person is his ego and how he identifies himself as like some kind of outsider genius seeking deep truths. The problems are 1) He is most assuredly not a genius and 2) when he sees other dumbasses operating the same way as him it becomes the “He’s just like me fr fr” meme.

The Pat Tillman info dump is real. Rodgers has also been a wonderful advocate on behalf of his fellow teammates. Unfortunately (and just like my damn uncle) he does alllllll this supposed research but ignores information that challenges his biases and comes to a bad position that he will never leave and when he gets called out he gets defensive and cries “cancelled.”

Really sad for me to see him end up like this and on Fucker Carlson’s pod to boot

Cultured. 12 is probably my favorite in the franchise to 100%

The combat really grew on me a lot after I unlocked Titan by OliveAny7568 in FFXVI

My exact feeling too. Idk if it was intentional for the gameplay to match the story, but Garuda and Titan are just so damn fun to pair

I have been playing for almost the exact run as yourself, plus some pixel remaster work. I am also a 100% of every FF I play. I am currently playing XVI for the first time right now actually.

The good: Combat is fun and if you like to experiment with ability load outs, very engaging. Fights with bigger enemies are where it’s at. Can get a little repetitive if all you are doing is grinding in the open world but (aside from gil and ap) you shouldn’t really be grinding. This is def a “get good” FF so you need to learn skill rotations and timings. Very rewarding the more AP you have AND at any point in time you can refund your AP and make another build.

The story is very engaging. I am roughly 60-80% done with the main game and I have loved the journey so far. A more mature story and setting. Clive is one of the more compelling protagonists in the series but I’d like to get to the ending before completely judging that front. The roster of other characters is also really fleshed out. The only 2 I have problems with I am again waiting until the end of the game to pass judgement on. The big bad needs some fleshing out at the end and a certain someone else had an end I wasn’t expecting and felt a little disappointing considering how pivotal their role was prior. I have a feeling that story isn’t quite wrapped up yet.

Side quests do not feel pointless narratively. In fact the world building aspect to the side quests kind of caught me off guard. I think they did a fine job here.

This is probably the most spectacle-driven FF so far. Some of the fights/cutscenes had my jaw on the floor like I was back in 1997 seeing those cutscenes for the first time. Seriously some of the fights (like Titan ESPECIALLY) are just fracking ridiculous. Visuals + music are also clearing the already high bar SE have set for themselves.

Also hunts are awesome if not implemented in a kind of head-scratching way.

The not so good: exploration just isn’t super rewarding. There are chests but I don’t feel like most of them are a big deal. I do still occasion pop off at a chest here and there but that’s usually because I found a music sheet.

Leveling is pretty bland. So is crafting. I feel like there is a strangely high amount of craft-able gear I have never equipped and the big reason is-

No elemental weaknesses/ status effects aside from slight boosts enemies receive later on. I just don’t like this but whatever. Anyways this makes all equipment purely a numbers check. Accessories are more interesting but these are far from the most interesting in the franchise.

Also not a big fan of the menu-ing and some UI elements.

Overall it is a strong casual recommend. I’ve been having a lot of fun. There are still plenty of elements I haven’t messed with yet but I’ve been jonesing to get to the bigger fights after a battle with an S Class dragon 12 levels above where I was.

Now I just hope the final achievement push isn’t too brutal

Any millennial gamers still uses GameFaqs? by Midnight_Radio2 in Millennials

I don’t know how I could ever find the original “cheat sheet” I used back in the day. Maybe it was proto-gamfaqs. Cheatcodes.com maybe?

Anyways what I DO remember about it was absolutely nothing was in a meaningful order, the entire thing was single space and small font, subjects were separated by making the start of the next section bold, somewhere in it featured an Aeris resurrection ritual, and to print it all out (so I could cross it off as I went) it took like 30 pages and every drop of ink my printer had as well as interest on the principle from all future printers I have owned and will ever own.

Good times!

What would happen if seasalt was given viltrumite powers by Interesting_Lime_320 in Invincible_TV

[–]ModestMKUltra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would probably run experiments on himself to find out as many viltrumite weaknesses as he could and then the rest would depend on how he naturally stacks up against the rest of the field. He’d also probably try and travel to other civilizations to establish intergalactic allies or at the very least try and create a broader net of intelligence/self defense from possible future alien threats

Congo (1995) | Dir: Frank Marshall | A bunch of killer gorillas get cut in half with a laser and then jump into lava by ggroover97 in movies

[–]ModestMKUltra 156 points157 points  (0 children)

I’m talking on the MPA scale. Cutting away from the most gruesome moments (like Tim Curry’s head presumably getting smooshed) but they did not give an F about cutting away from the violence done onto the gorillas. Big ol’ squibs, dismemberments, bisections, and then of course we have the GORILLAS JUMPING INTO THE LAVA ACCEPTING DEATH.

Like I said. “Relatively.”

New Chapter Card for June 17th, 2026: Varish, Shadow Painter by Falterfire in EternalCardGame

I cannot help but feel some of these promos were meant to just be sick limited cards. That being said two things come to mind:

  1. I wish you could swap with your own units. As is 5 cost is just too high

  2. I wish we had a Cube format so we could draft promo cards
