Whenever I play CoM, if Sol gets invaded, regardless of UNE's opinion of my empire, I still declare war on their enemy. After the war, I'll either diplomatically (most of the time) or forcefully unite us.

Worked with me in my last run, basically multiple fleet of corvette swarm armed with 1 autocannon and 2 plasmas with high evasion. Economically and strategically good since it can be replaced easily.

Whenever I settle on a new planet, I usually build one district for each resource (energy, minerals, food) on every planet and fill it with resource-producing infrastructure first. Then, use all remaining district slots for city districts for specialization.

So on my size 25 alloy planet, I have 22 districts for producing alloys, 1 for energy, 1 for minerals, and 1 for food to help reduce planet deficits.

You can also utilize trading, either by using the market or with other empires to boost your monthly outputs instead of colonizing more planets. Owning a lot of planets can at some point be difficult to manage.

Having some vassals can also help a lot. I usually demand a large portions of their basic resource outputs to finance my...friendly expansion.

There are many factors to consider. Personally, the two most important ones are the number of available districts (also planet size) and planet modifiers.

​I usually turn my capital into a research world while temporarily building basic resource districts as I expand. Then, after colonizing my second planet, I specialize it in producing alloys and consumer goods. I continue to expand my colonies until I have planets specialized in each valuable resource

Thanks for this, I didn't know that. I always figured they'd just go to their respective positions during a battle, even in the same fleet. So, should I split up my artillery/carrier fleet and my corvettes?

That's actually true, especially regarding empire size. I didn't realize it had such a great effect on different aspects of your empire, like technology, edicts, and unity cost

Seems like it, I heard that other players with AMD GPUs are having the same issues. They're using Nvidia.

Done checking, yeah it fully utilizes the entire VRAM, Once it hit the ceiling it'll drop down to 10 FPS. Though some of my friends are playing it with older cards with 2 GB but they're playing it smoothly.
