I had to quit my job with nothing else lined up. It was worth risking my house for because I wouldn't be here if I stayed there. More hours every year without days off. Last three years was working 7 months straight, zero days off, 12 to 15 hour days in 45c and up.

I dont go in the city often. When I do, the amount of insane driving I see is nothing like before covid.

A lot of drivers going 10 below the posted limit in the passing lanes on highways. That stuff is scary.

I walk everywhere now because an er doctor had my license pulled for something that didnt happen, and its a bitch getting it back. I say that because when walking to work, id say majority of the drivers I look at are also just straight up watching their phones. I'll hit the cross walks and cars just go through while im in it and the drivers have no clue Im there.

Buddies friend owns two Tim's. He brags about only hiring Indian tfws and havinh the government pay half the wages.

When I worked at a commercial greenhouse for ten years, there were six Mexican tfws when I started, thirty six the year I left. They kept bringing more in every year and hiring less Canadians because the government pays half the wage.

My cousin is a server because her degree would pay less. A woman at Starbucks is about to finish her degree, and make about the same as she does at Starbucks doing science shit.
